I used this for about a month before one of the wires broke. I tried splicing it, but the wires for this set up are like strands of hair. they just break no matter how gentle you are. I think they do it on purpose so you have to buy a new one or buy their spare parts.

I bought this to replace my last SMH5 that is still going after 10 years! I use it almost everytime I ride, and they work great. The best bang for the buck. SENA support is excellent for any issues you may have, even little stuff like losing the boom mic windscreen, Sena sent me a replacement for free!!!!

The install was pretty straightforward. I did have a little trouble getting the boom mic arm to fit behind the padding. The noise cancelling is really good from what my wife says! I don’t need to yell to talk and the speakers are plenty loud enough. They are really tinny and have no bass at all, so depending on what you’re listening too you will probably end up turning the sound down a bit! I can hear my music over my R7 with an M4 muffler at speed so it’s definitely got enough volume. I have never used it for comms and will probably upgrade to a model with better speakers in the near future.
