I’ve had my ice surface for over 3 months and it’s working great! I have it set up in my garage and I can drive my SUV right over top of it without any problem as the tiles are strudy. The tiles were very easy to put together using a mallet. It’s so far great for my young kids who are 5 and 3 to gain confidence in their skating and balancing. I enjoy using it primarly for my stickhandling, passing and for shooting drills. As an adult skate, it’s not enough surface area to really get going on the ice however wearing my skate with dull blades and doing some strides and wearing them while i do the drills is fun. It does take a bit of getting used to at first but once you do it’s a lot of fun. It’s been worth the investment especially during covid when the rinks were closed and needing to continue my hockey craving. Michael C (Dir of Ops) for Skate anytime worked with me to just order just a few more tiles i needed and he also sent me the glide enhancement cleaner which works great to clean and keep the tiles smooth and fast. I will def recommend this product to my other hockey friends, especially those with kids.

Since hockey in our area has been shut-down due to COVID restrictions, I purchased 78 panels to make a 10×20 shooting rink for my daughter who is 16 (I have 4 panels left over)
Up until this year I have always built a real ODR but we both agreed that at the end of last season we would forego the rink this year. COVID forced a change in the plans.
While the skating dynamics are slightly different (not drastic) then on real ice, the shooting and stickhandling elements are almost exactly the same. Stopping is the same as on ice with light plastic dust accumulating on the blades. See the attached video.
The nice part is that come spring it will not melt and now she has a skating and shooting surface to use year-round.

I would like to thank the team at Skate Anytime for the fast response when I reached out to them. FED-X delivered 6 out of 8 boxes and told my wife that they’ll probably show up in a couple of days. So we waited and FED-X did nothing, unless you want to talk to a computer recording bouncing us around. I contacted Skate Anytime and they were shocked and apologized profusely, and told me that not to worry we’ll get those boxes shipped out that day. I now have a delivery ETA and can now enjoy our new family skating rink.

My kids love these panels. We don’t use ice skates on them because we want to keep them intact, but the kids roller skate on them all the time. They use these panels everyday and have been a great investment!

I have approximate 280 square feet setup, ordered 5 x 20 pack package and it enough for what I need to setup. The synthetic ice plate is easy to install and as the company suggested, if you want to align your rink, you can adjust the border which I did and just need a table saw. Easy and fast. As for the synthetic ice itself, it perform pretty well, I skate on it and my kids doing it everyday now, initially felt a bit adjustment and different, but once you skate on it a few times, is all good and can slide stop like the real ice. You do however, need to clean up or vacuum a bit from time to time after skates. Is it a real ice, of course no, it is good for continue practice or skating or shooting, definitely yes. My son is not a goalie, so will not know how it will slide but just skating and practice shooting and stick handling is all good. I will suggest based on their measurement, arrange your area and then decide how many package you will need. All in all, great product and good company to deal with. Thank you skate anytime.

Easy setup and adds so many more ways to keep workouts motivating and fun… Also, cuts well and easily with a circular saw to custom fit your space. Could lose a star due to the reality that it should be less costly!

I have had this product installed for close to 9 months now. I will say, it dulls your skates a lot quicker than you would like and it honestly is not even close to the feel of ice. I really wish there was a way to trial these products out here in the south, but sadly there really aren’t any opportunities. I will say the saving grace is that it is nice to at least take practice shots on and stick handling. The puck doesn’t even slide like it would on ice, but it’s good enough. I would HIGHLY recommend that if you buy this, look into the resurfacing lubricants. The Skate Anytime lubricant seems to work well for a few days, but tends to fade quick. One bottle will not last long at all. I’m giving this 3 stars because I know this type of product will never be as good as ice, but it’s been way more of a let down than any videos show you. Don’t have high expectations and you’ll love it.
