I have been using this on my job for nearly 12 months and I haven’t gone a day where I haven’t used it. It’s amazing. The screwdriver bits it comes with are of good quality too. I’ve used the same Phillips head for the entire time I’ve had it. If I could make two wishes, it would be for a longer battery life or removable rechargeable batteries to swap out and a USB C type charging port instated off the micro port it comes with. I get close to a day out of it on quieter days, but definitely a stretch on busy days. Overall an amazing product and I have been recommending it to everyone. The guys at work borrow it and love it, wanting one soon after. The volt detection on mine has never worked, but I carry a volt stick with me and I didn’t buy this for volt detection, so I’m not bothered by it.

In today’s fast-paced world, having a reliable and efficient tool to tackle household projects is essential. As an avid DIY enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of trying out the SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver with Circuit Sensor Technology. This all-in-one powerhouse amazed me with its versatility, innovative features, and convenient design. In this detailed and unbiased review, I will share my personal experience, covering all the key points that make this tool a game-changer for any homeowner or professional.
Product Design and Ergonomics:
From the moment I unboxed the SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver, I was impressed by its sleek and ergonomic design. The compact size and lightweight construction make it easy to handle, even during long projects. The soft-grip handle offers excellent comfort and control, reducing fatigue and ensuring precise screw driving.
Circuit Sensor Technology:
One of the standout features of this screwdriver is the Circuit Sensor Technology. It detects live wires in outlets, switches, and cords, ensuring safety during electrical projects. As someone who values safety above all else, I found this feature invaluable. The screwdriver alerts you with a red light and an audible warning, preventing any accidental contact with live circuits.
Power and Performance:
Despite its small size, the SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver packs a punch in terms of power. The 4V motor provides ample torque for a wide range of applications. I tested it on various materials, including wood, plastic, and metal, and it effortlessly drove screws without stripping or damaging the surfaces. The variable speed trigger allows for precise control, ensuring consistent and accurate results every time.
Rechargeable Battery and Charging:
Gone are the days of dealing with disposable batteries. This screwdriver comes with a built-in lithium-ion battery, which not only provides long-lasting power but is also rechargeable. The included USB charging cable makes it convenient to charge the screwdriver anywhere, from a computer, power bank, or even a car charger. With a quick charge time of just 1 hour, the screwdriver is always ready for action.
Versatility and Bit Set:
The SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver comes with a comprehensive 45-piece bit set, offering unrivaled versatility. The bits are made of durable materials and cover a wide range of sizes and types, including Phillips, slotted, hex, and Torx. Whether you’re assembling furniture, hanging shelves, or working on electronics, this screwdriver has the perfect bit for the job.
LED Work Light:
Working in dimly lit spaces can be frustrating and hinder productivity. Thankfully, SKIL has incorporated a bright LED work light into this screwdriver. The light is positioned just above the bit, providing ample illumination precisely where you need it. I found this feature particularly useful when working in tight corners or under cabinets.
Convenience and Carrying Case:
To keep everything organized, the SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver comes with a sturdy carrying case. The case has designated slots for the screwdriver, bits, and charging cable, ensuring that everything stays in place. Whether you’re a DIY enthusiast like me or a professional contractor, having a dedicated storage solution makes it easy to keep your tools organized and accessible.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, the SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver with Circuit Sensor Technology exceeded my expectations in every aspect. With its user-friendly design, Circuit Sensor Technology, power, versatility, and thoughtful features, it has become an indispensable tool in my arsenal. The combination of convenience, safety, and performance make it a must-have for anyone tackling projects around the house or on the job site. If you’re seeking a reliable and efficient cordless screwdriver, I wholeheartedly recommend the SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver.

When a screw gun is too much torque, too big, and too fast, this is perfect. Comes with a nice assortment of bits and is perfect for computer building. Is small enough to get in tight spaces and will not over torque your case screws. Used it for 4 months with no stripped screws at all. Best of all I have yet to need to recharge it!! Love it and way cheaper than the Dewalt or Makita.

Always want one, finally decided to buy one at sale price. Love it, make it so much easier to unscrew, much better than my ratchet set. Like the bonus feature of voltage sensor, comes in handy so I don’t need a meter to check live voltage. Glad I have the more expensive model with bits and box, though was surprise it doesn’t have the drill bit but the cheaper version does. Otherwise, really enjoy using it – a lot! So far battery seems to hold a charge well, torque is good but that is not why I buy it for, using it to assist unscrew is what I wanted. Size is good and fairly light, and oh – the on board LEDs are a huge plus, two of them and bright. Price is fair, and would buy again if needed.

Breaks screws free and torques tightly enough that I don’t have to manually torque down by hand. I’m thinking people here are trying to use this as a woodworking drill or for automotive work. It’s not going to be the right tool.
I decided mostly to buy this to go with my Wiha ESD torx and screwdriver bits–along with a Wiha Sys 4 Micro Bit Adapter 4mm to 1/4″ 38mm adapter–to do work on electronics and various devices. Makes quick work of disassembling lawn equipment…and doesn’t strip or cracks plastic screw posts!
If you need more power, go with the Bosch 12v. Used that already to drill into masonry for spotlights.

Bought it base on the good reviews compared to some other brands since its the most basic tools you ought to have at home. Haven’t really had the chance to make full use of it. But so far it feels solid and the bits are of good quality.

This was a life saver putting together a doll house with a million screws in with the recommendation of screwing each one in by hand because of the cheap fragile pressed wood that can’t handle the force of a drill. This was awesome to get into those tight spots and was able be easily switched if needed to screw both directions. It came pre charged and lasted for about an hour and then needed to be charged back up…only flaw was it couldn’t be used while plugged in and took about an hour to charge enough to finish the job and it didn’t come with a base to plug the USB plug into but that seems to be the new thing. Nice little box that holds everything in place with an awesome assortment of heads to choose from. The light on it when in use is awesome along with the magnetic heads that can help with holding the screws in place. I was even able to successfully screw in a thin sheet of acrylic that curved and didn’t crack it. Christmas is coming up soon and this is a must have to all the parents helping Santa build and put together toys on Christmas Eve…

My wife and kids got me this for my birthday. I have to admit I didn’t really want it but it has turned out to be very handy to have around.

This thing works fantastic for average screws. Sheet rock, softer wood. It will stop on harder screw jobs so I have to bust out the Dewalt. But for basic stuff I use this all the time. So nice to not have to twist manually. My only complaint is it doesn’t have a slot to hold another bit. And it has older usb type. Not USB C.
Me llego muy rápido el producto y funcionando bien no e tenido problemas. Recomendado –
The media could not be loaded.
The thumb twist action is easy to operate..
The bits are very well made
The bits are very complete too
Worth it
