    I thought I would have some of the problems that others would have such as like how you could accidentally turn it on. That hasn’t been that much of an inconvenience to me really. I mostly use the tuner at home. I changed the orientation once and don’t see myself needing to change it back so I’m glad it stays when you turn it off. Having it charge with a micro USB is neat so you don’t have to hunt down the right type of watch battery but a USB-C would have been better since they are easier to come by these days. I’ve used it at two gigs so far with a bass guitar and it tuned well so I have no problems there and the discreetness was a good addition I hate the other tuners that are more noticable. I still would rather it had a button to power on because the touch thing is weird and can accidentally turn on in the gig bag. Overall I think this is a good tuner and it works well for what I need it for and I would suggest it as long as you can get used to the touch thing to turn it on.

    Snarks have been around for quite awhile and regarded as excellent tuners. I favor small hidden headstock tuners, but I do like the lighted power button. Looks cool on the headstock and the tuner can be located underneath, but it can be slightly difficult to read even with the flip display option. The display is bright and easy to read. The tuner also works great with my 4 string electric bass and 12 string acoustic guitar. Because the display is big and bright, it will drain the battery. So it’s good to shut off when not tuning. The battery lasts about one session or gig (4 hours or so with constant ON), so bring a spare. Recharging takes a couple of hours with the USB. On the best tuners I’ve used and got a drawer full of different brands.

    This is my favorite tuner of all time. The display goes on the back of your headstock. The footprint on the front is very small. The display can be easily switched from horizontal to vertical with three taps. Display is bright and readable, even in direct sunlight. Sturdily built, works great on all my basses and guitars. Strong clamp so it never flies or falls off. And best of all, it’s rechargeable. The fast recharge lasts a long time. I’ve tried so many headstock tuners over the years. The Snark Air is by far the best.

    Trop volumineux.
    Je lui ai préféré le modèle d‘adario bien plus discret, que j’avais déjà et dont le modèle a été bien amélioré…

    I own 8 SNARK tuners, 2 are the SNARK (AIR-1).
    This is an upgrade to the well established regular SNARK although it costs a bit more, it works well, looks good, simple charging, nice and bright and tunes easily. It is smaller overall and now stays on the back of my headstock permanently, even fits in the hard case with the lid down so, I’m not without it or an untuned Guitar.

    This is an upgrade to the well established regular Silver Snark, although it costs a bit more, it works well, looks good, simply charged, nice and bright and tunes easily. It is some what smaller overall and now stays on my guitar headstock permanently, even fits in the hard case with the lid down so I’m never without it.

    I’ve long been impressed with Snark tuners, though most of them are not terribly robust. This ought to be a stouter design. The one technical thing that concerned me was the on/off button, which is the little edge-lit airplane or bird or whatever it is on the top face of the tuner. That button is always going to hit the inside of the guitar case. Turns out that it’s (very) skin-touch-sensitive but doesn’t appear to be sensitive to guitar case materials. Haven’t tested with leather, so if you tote your hardware in cowhide, you might have to cover that button with something. It does come with a press-on cover, probably for just such an emergency. The tuner is easy to use, easy to read, you can adjust the display orientation to your liking, and the pretty colored lights are fun. I always say flashing lights are worth paying extra…

    I’m somewhat disappointed, expected it to be ‘great’ for the higher price. The worst aspect is that It frequently falls off my headstock, so have to check it regularly. It’s ok but not great. I’ll like the ability to recharge but I wish it stayed in place as well as all my other tuners.

    What I like:
    Good design; compact; crystal clear display and that can rotate to any direction; rechargeable!!

    What I don’t like:
    Charging cable is still not USB-C; You have to rotate the display so that you have enough space for the charging cable to charge (not as easy as I would like);

    I was looking for the snark mini and could only find this. Rechargeable is cool but this thing had a hard time recognizing pitch for some reason. Tried it on several guitars in several spots on the headstock. Unacceptable for gigs and rehearsal where you should be able to tune quickly and quietly.
