They stick-on well and worked for me. It’s so much easier and quicker for me to identify my sockets.

This set did not label all the sockets in my 1/4” 3/8” and 1/2” drive metric and SAE sets. There are too many torx labels and some larger sizes and 32nd” sizes that are fairly useless. Look carefully at what you need before buying this kind of thing. That being said, there did stick well. You must be scrupulous with the cleaning and remove all cleaner.

I took a chance on purchasing these even after reading some of the lower ratings issues. I followed the application instructions fully. Cleaned the sockets with alcohol, let them dry well and then applied the stickers with tweezers. I then made sure that they were well pressed on. They started to peal on their own within a few minutes and by the next day were all peeling off. I tried another batch and had the same result. I then tried cleaning with acetone, let the sockets dry completely and applied the stickers. Same results,,they started to peel off by themselves.
From my experience as a manufacturing engineer, and after reading the positive and negative reviews, I would have to reason that the manufacturer has quality control issues when making these labels. It would be difficult to understand why some people say they adhere very well and others that they didn’t adhere well at all…possibly the amount of adhesive applied in manufacturing, or its chemical makeup isn’t consistent. Or the age of the product might lessen the adhesive properties after production , (long shelf storage?) prior to shipping and use. The one other thing that shouldn’t be the issue, if they were designed/tested properly, is the makeup/surface material of the socket itself. Possibly highly polished chrome sockets don’t hold the stickers well?….or visa versa for less well finished ones.
One positive thing is all my sockets are now well cleaned.

As some others have said here, these labels just aren’t sticky enough. I’ve applied 20-30 of them to sockets and every single one has peeled up
Sockets tend to get dirty and greasy so you want to clean that up before applying but it made no difference in my case.
The package also seems to have an odd assortment of labels where some are repeated enough times and some not, for my needs.
I have many variations of sockets – 1/4″ 10mm, 1/4″ 10mm deep well, 3/8 10mm, etc., so I’ve probably got at least 100 sockets of metric and SAE in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2.
If you’re like me you won’t find enough labels that you need in this package and you’ll also have some you don’t need.
All in all, I like the looks of the labels. The adhesion issue can probably be taken care of if you add a little glue and you can always buy another set to label everything you need.
That being said, I think I might be better off printing my own labels with my P-Touch label maker. I can have it wrap around the socket so it secures from one end to the other and I can print exactly what I need.

These are really nice high quality labels. They stick very well to sockets as long as you CLEAN THE SURFACE FIRST with alcohol!! The labels fell off chrome sockets easily until I cleaned the surface with alcohol. The labels then held on very firmly and have stayed on.

Excellent Product. I’m not a ‘every day’ tool guy, but I do have a complete set of standard size and metric size deep sockets, regular 6-pt and 12-pt sockets, all in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2″ drive, and of course. It’s enough for the weekend cowboy who thinks he’s a master craftsman, but really, is just mediocre. Anyways, enough about me.
This was a great buy (price wise, I’m not too sure about, because I haven’t shopped around enough). But the Master Set has everything I needed.
Well, for all those tools, I actually needed (2) sets; and glad I bought (2) sets.
I’m 48 years old and of course my eye sight isn’t that great for distance (over 2 feet), but these little labels make it great for seeing which sockets I have around me. Nothing worse than grabbing what I think is a 5/32 and then it’s actually a 3/16 or 1/4 or 7/16. Uggh, I can’t tell just looking at them. This takes that headache away.
I’ll tell you this though… definitely clean your tools before you apply them. The included instructions say to use alcohol, but whatever you use, just make sure the surface is clean. Oh, and I’m not a cowboy… just a regular city slicker, office nerd.

I always struggle getting the correct socket out of my tool box, it so hard to read the size numbers on some of the older sockets I have. these stickers make it so easy for my old eyes. One color 3/8 drive, another for 1/2 etc. I used them for 6 months or so and none have tried to peel off or get messed up with typical shop handling, grease, oil, etc.

I took the time on my sockets to clean them with alcohol before applying, and those worked pretty well. I’ve seen one or two lift a little, but overall, it’s okay.
On some Torx sockets I had, I forgot to wipe with alcohol first and just used a paper towel to clean anything off. The sockets were almost new so I didn’t think they’d be dirty, but they may have come with some oil/grease from the manufacturer. On those, the stickers definitely aren’t staying put.
So, clean well, prep with alcohol, and it should be okay. My next biggest gripe is that I wish there were more of certain sizes. I was basically able to label all of my 1/2″, 3/8″ and 1/4″ sockets in both SAE and metric, but I was hoping to get more of the deep sockets I had as well. Still, for the price, I got what I paid for and I’m pretty happy with them.
