J. Spooner –
This is a clear, easily readable book packed with so much useful information. From the basic concepts underpinning Tradtional Chinese Medicine from which Acupressure is derived to the practical hands-on approach, this books covers it all. Not just for the highly experienced owner, this book is written for even the novice owner to use and enjoy.Clear, easy to follow diagrams and explanations as well as excellent step by step instuctions supported by clear photographs. It promotes all that a responsible dog owner would like to know in helping their canine friends achieve and maintain the best quality of life. Most important, it encourages owners to develop the caring and healing touch that is so important to our dogs. Living with 11 lively Rottweilers and a Lancashire Heeler, I find myself constantly reaching for it! I can’t thank the authours enough for sharing their experience and knowledge and helping me to have a happier, healthier canine family.

I have searched for this book for 2 years and am glad to find it back in print. It is thorough in guiding you through the dog’s anatomy and has been really useful. All dog owners should have a copy to better understand the way the dog’s body works.

The book has some highlighting which I find distracting. Aside from that its very good.

Easy to read and understand. I really like that the book shows exactly where the acupressure points are. I used this book to treat our young dog that was diagnosed with hip displasia. The pain relief was almost immediate.

Well researched, superbly written and easily understood by the beginner, this is the primer for all dog lovers who are striving to improve their animal’s health.
Traditional Chinese medicine is a difficult conceptfor most Westerners, and the authors explain the basic principles in a manner that allows we “newbies” to start affecting change in their dog’s health immediately after reading their book.
I highly recommend this book to those who are searching for a more holistic approach to their animal’s health care.

I didn’t think I bought a used book. As soon as I open the package some papers fell out and the edges are fraid. Glad I got the book but was a bit disappointed it wasn’t new since I paid over $20 for it.

This is a fantastic book if you want to help dogs.It is a lovely book and as well a guide to acupressure and the dogs physical health it takes into consideration the dogs mental and emotional health. Any dog lover will enjoy this book. The acupressure is for serious dog lovers or dog health professional as it is quite intensive reading, it will take me a few reads to get this into my head but I like these kind of books. It is a good book to keep as a referral to medical problems that you can help in support with your veterinary medicine. It is not a replacement for veterinary first aid or treatment but complements it.

Another excellent book on acupressure points for dogs for the lay person as well as professionals. Tells where they are, the different medians and locations. How to find the point locations and what each point is supposed to be used for. Learn the basics and help your dogs.

Have found acupressure for humans very useful, a miracle cure for sciatica, so it was VERY VERY exciting to find a clear and helpful source for acupressure for dogs.
Once had a 100% positive experience with acupuncture on a dog hit by a car, of course necessitating the use of a Holistically oriented DVM. Nice to know I can find the points and help with less severe aches on my animals.
Great resource.

A very copmlex very informatieve book going into many areas not just acupressure, making it a book to study rather than a plesant read aswell. it’s rather cramped in, would have been better in a book with more pages with space for a little ‘chit chat’ as well, but a good book to study.

It’s always best to know what you can do for your dog and this provides information you can have on hand and use.
