It’s a really old book written in the early nineties. Most of the information is outdated.

This is way ahead of its time with sound advice that is still relevant. Many have taken what was taught here and developed out of it. It was nice to find the original concept all nice and clean of developments. Written by folk from all corners of knowledge I highly recommend this tome.

This wellness book is full of ideas on how to improve your health no matter how bad your health may be right now. It provides practical tips and some insightful knowledge into why we are sick in the first place and what to do about it.

A slightly old and outdated but comprehensive work on total wellness. The author covers every major area and argues effectively – with research and evidence to support – the total interconnectedness of human physiology, psychology, spirituality, etc. If one realm is unhealthy, the others will be affected. I had to read this book for a class, but it was refreshing to read something by an author who is willing to speak the truth when it comes to health; that is, there are no magic bullets. So many authors are making money saying that there is.

Docked one star from five due to some outdated information and a section with an over-focus on stretching/relaxation positions.

I have to say I really love this book. I read it cover to cover and it makes a lot of sense. It’s not complicated, it’s logical, and simple in the best way possible. It’s easy ways to create a healthy balanced lifestyle on a day to day basis. It reminds you to take care of yourself first, which fills your cup so that you can take care of the ones you love. It has a lot of great healthy ideas for all aspects of life…mind, body and soul. Even if you already know these things, it reminds you and motivates you to put them into practice. I have been making the recipes and tried most of them, I love them and make them all the time. As a single mom of a child with autism and also a widow, this has been a wonderful, inspiring book that has really helped me to lead a more healthy and balanced life.
