I’m someone who’s in the gym and yoga/Pilates studio 6 days a week. Period week is always a hassle! I find pads to be too bulky/uncomfortable and tampons come with their own issues. I’ve been trying out a menstrual cup with mixed success and a steep learning curve. I had heard of THINX panties before but I go commando in my workout leggings and so brushed them aside as a possibility. These new leggings from THINX are an amazing idea!
For reference, I am 5’5″ tall 105lbs with a straight body shape and long limbs with a short torso. I am typically a size 0 or XS. After glancing at the size chart measurements on the THINX website, I ordered these leggings in my usual XS. They fit great!
The leggings themselves are excellent quality and consistent with high-end workout gear. They have a nice high waist and they have pockets! These feel great on and look flattering. I have them in the black color and they are a terrific neutral that can be paired with any top (the Kale is also a gorgeous color!).
I will say these have a generous weight to them and won’t do for the summer months – I ordered the Cycle Shorts from THINX as well and those are perfect for hot weather.
So, how do they perform? The gusseted crotch feels very comfortable against the skin – doesn’t twist or ride up when I’m doing intense workouts. THINX describes these as “moderate absorbancy”. I wouldn’t spend all day in these on my heaviest days but they certainly get me through a workout. They are also fantastic for a tampon or menstrual cup backup for any leaks.
These leggings from THINX are great and I highly recommend them!

I have purchased two pairs of these leggings. The large was really snug in the legs but fit in the waist so i decided to donate them and order a size XL. Now the legs are more comfortable but they’re very baggy in the crotch. I ordered them because i got a new mattress topper that i don’t want ruined so I’ll keep the bigger size because they’re more comfortable. I only use the pants as a back up anyway so i think it will do as intended.

These leggings are very good quality. The fabric, although too heavy for Florida summers, would be great when the temperatures are in the 70’s or lower.
I posted several photos with measurements for the size large. Compare with the leggings you currently own!
The waist can stretch about four inches more but that is the maximum… and I do not recommend buying size large if you need to stretch the fabric that much because they would be very uncomfortable.
These make your bottom look really cute and the best part? NO ONE will even suspect that they have an absorbent panel!! They just look like great leggings. There is no logo anywhere that advertises the name brand (thank you!).
The absorbent panel is generously proportioned and goes up the back as well as the front. See pictures.
Blessed be, the gusset is wide and is comfortable too.
The only negative thing I can say is that the advertisement shows these rated as “five drips” in terms of absorbency level. However the tag attached to the leggings shows “three drips” (see pic).
That aside these are worth the high price tag. How much would YOU pay for peace of mind and a discreet pair of leggings made from high quality fabric and workmanship? Or to put it another way… how much would you pay to avoid being in a very embarrassing situation? 😳

These are amazing, and work very well. They make you feel super secure as well, especially during workouts. The leggings have a double panel, so even if you were to bleed and it went down your leg, the inner panel is so secure, it would catch it. Honestly, I would give these more stars if I could. They also have a pocket in front for a heating pad, and pockets on the sides which would hold a small phone or keys/money.

I guess I’ve gotten spoiled by other yoga pants brands, but this was serious camel toe city. The yoga pants themselves feel kind of inexpensive in the sense that they are a little slick and overly compressive, and the seam at the very top of the waistband kind of pinches in a little bit.
I definitely appreciated the extra protection provided by having thinx leggings as a backup to my normal cycle protection, because I have been using and loving the undies from this brand for overnight protection, and sometimes when you go to the gym or are working out it is nice to have that extra layer of certainty.
However, there is no way I could wear this pair of pants outside the house. I guess if you wear shorts or a little skirt over the top of your leggings, that could work? But for just wearing as yoga pants, these have such an embarrassing level of camel toe in every single position. I could not shift it to not make a camel toe like wrinkle. And I can assure you that I do not have this issue with other brands of yoga pants. I don’t even think it’s an issue of having too much bulk in there, I really think they need to just really work the seams and try using a more flexible and higher quality pants material to make this all come together.

I wear thinx period underwear, and have only had issues a few times and that was more my fault for not paying attention to flow, rather than a product defect. But even though I’ve had excellent results, I was a little apprehensive about these pants.
Would they last my hour workout…. would there be a smell!?
I’m happy to report that they worked wonderfully for the hour workout, absolutely no leaks! And no smell either!
I ordered the medium size, that’s what I wear in the undies too and they fit perfectly, snug, but not uncomfortable.
Would definitely recommend these and Thinx in general.
