TIMEMORE Electric Gooseneck Kettle With Temperature Control

The Electric kettle is definitely sleek and clean-looking but can be confusing for some to use early on. It does come with a removable sticker that shows the directions but despite this, my parents still couldn’t figure it out and ended up stopping it too early and boiled the water in the microwave for their ramen. I took the time to learn how to operate it so it’s not that big of a deal, but it would have been nicer to have more descriptive instructions permanently on the device.

My other complaint is that all the controls are touch-based and have a delay between when you press or slide your finger and when the change occurs. For example, pressing the start button is delayed by 2-3 seconds so you can accidentally press it a second time and turn it back off if you thought that you had not pressed it correctly. This also applies to the touch “slider” that controls the manual temperature setting (doesn’t apply if you set it to boiling). If you want to set it to under boiling like, for example, 190 degrees F, you have to press the right side of the textured slider and slide to the left slowly, usually a milllimeter at a time to get the right temperature as it’s very easy to overshoot it.

Despite all this, the kettle is low priced so if you take the time to dial it in and leave the temperature settings alone (or just set it to boiling) and you’re patient with the on/off button, it won’t be a problem at all. I’ve been using it every day for the past month or so for coffee and tea and haven’t had any issues after the first week. I keep it unplugged and it remembers my settings and powers on immediately so I just fill it up with water, plug it in, and press start. Once I’m done pouring, I simply unplug it and worry about the remaining water later. This way I don’t have to deal with the long presses associated with putting the device in standby mode. Now I just have to teach my parents how to use it properly.

Works well – only takes a couple of minutes to heat the water to 203 which I use for drip coffee. The digital display has a very clean look. Flow rate works for me. Other reviewers mention the temperature control being annoying, but I have not adjusted the temperature since the first use and had no problems with it then, though I could see the potential annoyance if you are changing the temperature often.

I really wanted to keep and give it another go around but found another electric kettle I really liked. The kettle worked perfectly except for i couldn’t get exact temperature I desired. My refund was fast and would’ve tried same model but found a DJ style kettle that will hopefully last. I recommend buying extra care warranty

Se non fate un tè commerciale, ma un tè verde o bianco, oppure un Oolong, vi seve un bollitore che porti la temperatura esattamente ai gradi prescritti.
Questo lo fa, con grande precisione. Inoltre, mantiene la temperatura prescritta fino a quando si voglia.
Ottimo anche il becco a collo d’oca
È una casa seria che dà ciò che promette, come il suo macinacaffè.
Attenti: non è adatto se volete bollire più di un litro.

First of all, this pour over kettle is gorgeous. It is modern, sleek and has a highly functional design. With a base that is minimalist, no knobs or buttons, it lights up only when in use and turns off after non use. The gooseneck is slender and cut at an angle at the end to give you the perfect pour. It is a slow, slender stream that gives you control over your coffee or tea to avoid splashing back or too fast of a flow. I have been a long time tea and coffee drinker. I have always used a large kettle that you hit the button, it boils at one temp and you’re done. The difference the precise temperature makes in taste is such a world of difference! I am trying not to gush too much over a kettle, but I love this so much.

This kettle is not intended for heating a large amount of water. I can make two servings of tea or coffee. The set up is very easy and the instructions are clear and simple. You slide your finger left or right over the textured area of the front panel to decrease or increase the temperature that you would like. (Why can I not get it to exactly 200 degrees??? 199 or 201, I tried for so long to get it to land on 200…..) I find I only really use the temp slider and the start button, so any other features are just an added bonus. It boils very quickly, which may be due to the smaller total volume. You can also see the internal water temperature as it is increasing as well as the temperature you have set. The stainless interior is easy to clean, and this is very well made.

I am so happy with both how good this looks and how well it works. Kudos to the designers, it is beautiful work!
