Martin E –
I considered this watch for a long time before I bought it. I was worried it would look too big on a woman’s wrist. As it turns out, I have other watches that are just as big, and I like that it makes them easier to read. It’s nice that it can light up if I’m trying to tell time in a dark room, like a movie theater. The band is a perfect color to match blue jeans. The only thing I would change, if I could, would be to make the hands a little darker so I could see them easier.

Excelente diseño, muy cómodo y muy bonito.

The watch is louder than I expected. You can hear ticking sound when the room is quiet. I can’t sleep while it is in the room.
But on the other hand I absolutely in love with it. The right size and great look. Good for the price. The strap quality is low
Overall all give it 10 out of 10. One of the most enjoyable watches I’ve ever worn.

Very pleased with this purchase. This is a fantastic watch for the price. Smart, field-watch styling with its slightly vintage, military look. The red arrow second hand (on this black-faced version of this watch) is a nice design accent.
If there’s any lume on the hands, I can’t see it. What the watch does have is Timex’s Indiglo backlight which lights up the whole watch face with a push of the crown. I’d much rather have the indiglo because modern (non-radioactive) watch lume fades faster than the daylight and isn’t much use in the middle of the night. The indiglo backlight is truly beautiful and makes the watch very readable in the dark. As others have noted, there’s a tiny flat spot at the bottom of the dial. Doesn’t detract from the look as far as I’m concerned.
Some reviewers have complained about the loud ticking. Other don’t seem to notice. Perhaps this is due to differences between individual watches, or perhaps between individual ears. I don’t notice the ticking unless the watch is within a foot of my ear and only when there’s no other background noise. This may also be a matter of age; anybody above the age of 50 grew up with wall clocks and bedside clockwork alarm clocks so will have little trouble tuning out any minor ticking noise even if their ears can hear it.
The watch takes a CR2016 battery which is one of the larger batteries to fit in a watch, giving it a claimed 10-year battery life. This is an important point because it beats having to change out a battery every year or two. Fewer battery changes translates to less cost and less disturbance to the waterproof seal. Over a 10-20 year period, if you’re paying at the store to get the battery swapped, a 10-year period is going to save more than the cost of this watch (or even a much more expensive one).
If you’re the sort of person who does their own battery swaps, the stainless steel back is of the pop off style, with a small tab to get a knife or case toll underneath to prey off the back. It’s probably the pop-off back which limits the water resistance to 50m (fine for swimming but not scuba).
The watch has a 3-position crown (technically 4 if you include the indiglo function). The middle position allows fast adjustment of date, ie no need to wind the watch through 24 hours to advance the date window. Handy for day after the last day of a 30-day month.
The watch has 18mm lug size, so it’s easy to find/install replacement straps. Field watches tend to be very versatile and can take on a whole different character depending on the type of strap.
Typical of inexpensive watches, as the the second hand ticks it doesn’t always align very well with the marks on the circumference of the dial. If this bugs you, you should be looking at the $200 watches.
The 36mm case size suits me (and my wrist size) fine. If you’ve got big wrists or if you like the now-fading fashion for huge watches then you might want to go for the 40mm version that Timex sells.
Despite some of the imperfections, this is a 5-star review because I don’t expect a $30 watch to have the same standard of materials and manufacturing as a $200 watch. If you’re looking for this style of watch, it’s hard to go wrong with this one for the price. If you’re not using a watch to display wealth and you don’t want to worry about loss/theft, this watch looks great and does everything you’d want for the price.

I love the color in the style, but the band is too short for my wrist and I didn’t think I had wrist that big. Wish it came with multiple band sizes, but I’m still going to give it a five it’s a nice looking watch
Kyle Winward –
Best watch I ever bought wear it all the time
Kyle –
It seems like a good match for a woman who is active. I like the watch band. It is strong and will scrub up well when it gets dirty.
A great outdoor watch.
Gail from Lake Geneva –
The watch is exactly as described. I don’t know the radius of my wrist but I’m small framed and the watch fits well. I love the olive drab color of the face and canvas band. It brings back memories of when my dad was in the army.
The watch wasn’t running until I removed the plastic protector from the button. There isn’t a print instruction manual but an insert with info about the online. The watch is very straightforward, so in most cases a manual probably won’t be needed. As others have listed, to adjust the date, pull the button out halfway, and pull it all the way out to adjust the time.
I noticed some of the strap notch holes didn’t seem to be punched all the way through but it was easy to do so with the fastener. I like the way the band has felt more comfortable after a few days. It also feels like it will last longer than the rubber watch straps that last for a few years.
I have no issues with the clicking sound of the watch. Other than putting my ear against it, I’ve only heard it ticking in the car when I’m in it by myself. It must be a very quiet room to hear it across it.
It also hasn’t been as issue for the hour and minute arms not to be light activated, but I’m not usually in situations where that would be helpful. If I wake from sleep at night, I simply press the button and I can quickly see the time with the Indiglo. I don’t need to keep it on very long to see the time, so I don’t believe the process is much of a battery drainer.
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this watch again.
Kyle Winward –
I’m not a watch guy. For the price. You can’t beat it.
It’s lightweight and feels cheap. Band is low quality, stiff and rough. But that’s expected at the price range.
The watch itself looks exactly like the photo.
Kevin Cerino –
It is good and simple. I really like it.
Tony Tang –
The timepiece, which is made in the Philippines, is well made and quiet. Size is comfortable on my wrist and the brushed nickel plating doesn’t reflect too much light which was one of my prerequisites.
The wrist strap however was made in China, and I am not sure since I only have a sample size of 1, but I believe the nylon was contaminated with some kind of aggravating chemical, dye, or oil. It gave me a good sized rash almost the entire way around my wrist. (I have no allergies to nylon and have bought Timex Nylon straps before with no issues)
If you buy this watch I would recommend some gentle scrubbing with soap and water just to make sure any surface contaminants are fully removed before wearing.
