This is a pretty big dehydrator and I needed something along this size to dehydrate fish skins for my dogs as snacks! The instructions provided were horrible and every time I followed the instructions it would shut off the unit after 30 seconds of starting the dehydrating process. Once I figured out how I was supposed to run it, I was able to dehydrate the fish skin at 195 degrees for 3 hours. I wish this unit had the ability to go past 3 hours but I just started the process over again. Once I did the process twice (a total of 6 hours at 195 degrees Fahrenheit), the fish skins came out perfect. I would deduct it another star due to the limitations on temperature and time, but it did such an excellent job with the fish skins that I could not give it a 3-star review. Highly recommend it due to the price and build quality!

I have a lot to say about this dehydrator – I am immensely pleased – but above all else I first have to say: Geez Louise, is this thing QUIET! I have one of the small round dehydrators and you can hear it two rooms away. And my mother had an Excalibur, and even that made more noise. I was sure this was broken the first time I turned it on. But, no, I could see the fan turning, and when I put my ear around the back I could hear it softly whirring. Once it starts going it makes little “tick” sounds as the metal frame heats and cools, much like car engines make little tick sounds as they are cooling off, but a bit quieter. The fan is almost completely unnoticeable. I had no idea dehydrators could be so quiet.
Second item on the agenda: it works! It works quickly & awesomely and makes evenly dried products. Please see pictures and video! It is very complete. There are 10 tightly woven racks, five mesh/drip sheets, a rack for drying bunches of herbs (they included hooks) and a bottom tray I haven’t figured out yet. There are also three silicone trays to make fruit leather roll ups from, a recipe book (mostly jerkies), and a starter kit with silicone mitts, tongs, the aforementioned hooks and a sponge. The dehydrator will hold 10 racks at a time.
Thirdly: the only problem I have had with it regards making it start. When you turn it on, you first push power, then push temp/time to first set the temperature and then set the time, and then you are supposed to push the power button one more time to start dehydrating. That wasn’t working. All it did was turn the machine off again. But I found that if I pushed the power button twice in quick succession it started properly. I don’t think it’s supposed to be like that. I think it’s a glitch. It’s a very small issue once you have figured it out, but it’s important to know and the instruction manual needs to be updated.
I’m running out of room! 😅 Finishing up: It’s very attractive, and the glass door – with a light, no less – is fantastic. I really like being able to see how things are going. The sides do indeed get warm. Please pay attention to the warnings. The temperature & time setting aren’t particularly precise – the time is in half hour increments, and the temperature about 3° – but for the imprecise nature of dehydrating they are fine. It seems to be set to Fahrenheit only. Be sure to lock the latch tightly on the side. You’re not supposed to run it for more than 48 hours straight. And the last thing I can think of is that, like almost all appliances nowadays, the cord is a bit short. I did have to use an extension cord, their warnings notwithstanding. That’s always annoying, but it’s hardly limited to just this item.
I expect to get an awful lot of use out of it! If there are any problems this review will be updated. No update = working great. Thank you for reading! 🙂

I dehydrate all the fruits and veggies throughout the summer from out garden. We also do flowers to feed to the Guinea pigs. This works great! Exactly for what I need . I love that there are so many rows! So far no complaints ! I recommend

This dehydrator is amazing. It comes with everything you need to make dried fruit to jerky to fruit leather. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. I’ve owned a few different dehydrators and this one is by far one of the most efficient ones I’ve used. I love that it has a light so you can check on the stuff you are cooking without opening the door.

The Tinzida Food Dehydrator Machine is the first one I’ve ever used. It comes with everything you will need to dehydrate a variety of foods.
First, the size of the machine is just the right size to sit on my counter and fit under the cabinets when not in use. **This must be pulled out for proper ventilation when using.** The large door and light make it very easy to check on the status of your food. This machine has metal trays which is much better than the plastic ones used in lesser models. It also comes with silicone trays for making fruit leather/roll-ups or for dehydrating wet foods. There were also mesh sheets included for dehydrating smaller foods such as berries or small veggies.
Initially, I wasn’t unable to figure out how to set it to Fahrenheit instead of Celsius. I reached out to customer service (at the bottom of the listing) and they were very quick to solve that for me.
Now, I’m truly a beginner at dehydrating and really didn’t know where to start. I decided to start simple and dehydrated some blueberries and raspberries. I didn’t have the best result with those but that is really my fault. I didn’t set it to the correct temperature – this is still a learning process. My next experiment will be apple slices.
So far my only issue (which really isn’t an issue) is that the included recipe book seems to be mostly exotic foods/recipes so l’ve been looking elsewhere for recipes. Overall, I’m excited to keep learning the best way to dehydrate different foods
