It is a good diameter for nano fish however it does sink pretty fast. I position it so when it sinks it lands on rocks and plants. The fish can then hunt and peck.

A bit on the expensive side, but I only buy fish food once every 6 months or so. These are very small pellets, which works well for my community tank. The ingredients are pretty good, with Sword prawns as the main ingredient (which is a bit unique and seems good). It comes with a shaker top, which is very convenient given the size of the pellets (kind of hard to pick these up with fingers, because they are small).

I have a tank with Mollies that breed. The flakes are a great size for the babies. I assume the flavor is good since they seem to like it. Think slightly larger than a sprinkling of black pepper for the size. I’m very happy with the purchase and would use it again.

Use this for my rasboras and shrimp, it’s not as slow falling as I’d like, but it works.

 After researching nutrition for my aquariums I have firm confidence with Ultra Fresh Tropical Fish Food products. The 20 gallon was preparing itself while waiting over a year for the Neon Tetra family. In preparation for the delivery of 30 I purchased a container of the Ultra Fresh Tetra food.
Today Dec 8, 2023 is the second day that my Neon Tetra family is home. They have been acclimated and the light turned off since yesterday. I let them wake up and then gave them their first breakfast which they devoured. It is good to note that the food container top has many little holes but only one is perforated. I shake a small amount into my palm and crush it even more and pinch bits into the aquarium. A little goes a long way!
Update photo number one is feeding on day three Saturday Dec 9th. I was too late for an update video that had them so happy frantic but I think these first impressions are the most telling.
The video, which speaks for itself, is from day four December 10. This 20 gallon aquarium is dedicated to the Neon Tetras. It is not my intention of adding any other species including catfish to the aquarium.
Although the Tetra pellets are tiny, I do crush the pellets, turn off the filter and put small pinches in the water so as not to add too much. The Neon Tetras are shy so they’ll eat and play and then they all eat again so I let them eat for about 10 minutes. Neons let you know when they want to eat by swimming high in the water and when they’re done by just remaining near the bottom playing. The stillness of the water while they are eating lets the surface eating Neons create some of the slow sinking pellets.
I have the Ultra Fresh guppy food and the catfish food for the 75 gallon aquarium. Ultra Fresh fish foods are awesome!

My fish did not waste any time smashing all that was fed! I have Cardinal Tetras, Rummy Nose Tetras, Black Phantom Tetras, Cherry Barbs, Rosy Barbs, and Pseudomugil signifiers (Pacific Blue Eyes). Usually, my fish take a little while to get used to a new food, especially one that is processed/prepared. They have no issue getting used to a new brand of frozen brine shrimp or frozen blood worms, of course, but whenever I tried a new micro pellet or flake, sometimes they just spit it out. Not this food! Every single pond or tank that I fed resulted in a feeding frenzy. Even my Cardinals could eat many pellets in rapid succession. With other “micro pellets”, my Cardinals would spend so much time working on one pellet while the barbs were gorging themselves. This size pellet allows everyone to eat until they’re full. I also feed my Rosy Barbs something heftier, but I guess that’s another story.
And there’s a lot of product for the money. It looks like a small bottle (and it is!), but when you sprinkle a tiny pinch and then look at the tank’s surface, there’s a lot of food… so this will go a long way. Once the floating pellets hit the outtake flow, it sinks fast, but my fish just follow the flow of food and clean the substrate. Plus my snails are also fed in the process. For many reasons, I am super happy with this purchase and will continue to buy this. Once my signifiers have fry, I’ll also try their fry food too.
The shaker might be convenient for some, but I just emptied the food into an airtight container in which I can safely pinch out a more precise portioning. I transferred the desiccant into the new container too and then sealed that all up in a ziploc bag. Hopefully, it stays fresher longer.

I have neons and platys and they love this food. The neons really seem to thrive on it. Its just the right size for their small mouths, and the platys would eat just about anything, but they really go for it too. The small pellets float on the surface of the water a bit but with the filter current they soon fall and fly all around the tank till they hit the bottom, which most of it does not as the fish dart about excitingly eating most of the pellets. What hits the bottom they quickly find and devour.
Also since the fish eat it all, there looks like there is not much to break down in the gravel, and I think this helps with keeping the water clear.
The small size container actually is quite a bit and I think it will last a long time. This food is not inexpensive but it might be worth it. Previously I was using flakes, and I think my fish were just getting tired of it.
