I was in the market for a cold plunge tub when I came across Urban Ice and they definately did not disappoint! I started looking into cold therapy to help ease my general soreness from strength training 6x a week along with physical labor from work so I was excited to give urban ice a try. Setup took at most 10 minutes, easy to follow the instructions and no tools required other than an air pump which they provide you with (I decided to use an air compressor which was overkill, it doesnt need too much air). Materials seem pretty strong, perfectly suitable for outdoor use. Alternatively, you can use the tub before training, or just simply as a morning routine in fact! Ive seen pretty big results regarding my overall energy since I’ve been using the tub in the morning. Usually I would hit a mid-day crash around noon. Ever since I’ve started the cold therapy in the morning, I’ve yet to experience a mid-day crash and my overall mood is better. Unbeatable for the price, I would highly reccomend it to anyone!

Assembled the bath as shown in the instructions first the the cover wouldn’t hold air. The top ring of the bath doesn’t look at all like the picture, could not remove the kinks. I filled the bath with water and used it this afternoon. Went back out this evening 2 hrs later and it was empty. The bottom plug was still in place and the drain valve was close. It seemed to be good quality but obviously not. I’ll be requesting a refund

This ice bath arrived in a nice box and was easily unpacked in minutes. It’s a clever design and fool proof to put together. It has a high quality feel and looks compact and sleek when filled. I was a bit skeptical that I would be able to use it as I am 6’8” and to my absolute astonishment, I could fit in it very comfortably sitting crisscrossed with the water level up above my neck just under my chin. For anyone shorter than me, you would definitely have an absolutely comfortable bath. After finally building up the nerve to take the cold plunge, I found that I benefited therapeutically in the areas of muscular recovery, mental clarity, better sleep quality and general physical energy and my over all mood was improved greatly. I would highly recommend this bath to anyone suffering from aches and pains, anyone into sports, working out or just looking to feel energetic and focused.

Main review: So much better than using my bathtub and I’m saving water too. After receiving it, I was excited to put it together and try it. I glanced at the instructions but didn’t really need them as it’s pretty straight forward to put together. Finding the hose pipe took me longer. 😅
It’s a little flimsy unfilled but once the water was loaded it looked a lot more stable and robust. I filled it too high and a ton of water poured over as I got in. 🤦
It’s well designed and great quality. Using it almost everyday and changed the water once ever 4/5 uses. Threw in some ice the other day and the difference was crazy! 🥶Still haven’t managed to convince the wife to have a go. 🤣
I didn’t expect it to pack away so easily (after you drain it). I’m planning on taking this on a lads cottage trip and make them cold plunges.
Overall, I’m really happy with and the results. I’m happy to recommend.
On a side note, I have double shoulder impingement and pain on my right knee and ankle. Cold showers helped but cold plunges are so much more effective. This tub has vastly reduced the time and effort to have a plunge, though I still wince getting in every time.
