VEVOR 30 Inch Stackable Bird Cage with Tray Description

  • Q195 Carbon Steel
  • Ample Space: Measuring 29.9″L x 18.1″W x 17.9″H, with a 0.4” grid spacing, this bird flight cage offers a roomy, comfortable living space for your pet birds to move freely, rest, and stretch their wings. Allow them to enjoy free and comfortable movement within a limited area.
  • Sturdy Construction: Crafted from high-strength carbon steel, this bird cage boasts high strength and rigidity, providing a solid structural support that enhances stability. This is crucial for maintaining the shape and structure of the bird cage and preventing deformation or damage.
  • Secure Door Design: The secure door makes the flight cage convenient for caregivers to open and close the cage, add food, water, or clean the enclosure. Additionally, the door prevents birds from accidentally escaping or flying out of the cage. It also allows for interaction, contact, and training with the birds, enhancing the fun of mutual engagement.
  • Easy to Clean and Maintain: The parrot cage features a detachable slide-out tray for easy cleaning. The mesh grating prevents pets from walking directly on waste but also prevents bird droppings from accumulating at the bottom. This ensures the birds’ well-being and providing a convenient way to simplify maintenance.
  • Convenient Thoughtful Details: This cockatiel cage includes multiple perches for pet birds to perch and rest. The transparent feeding box allows caregivers to monitor food levels, enabling timely food and water replenishment. The portable handle on the side for easy lifting and cage adjustment. The cage is convenient for stacking to make the most of space.

Ordered this through Amazon, and when delivered the box was ripped and broken on one side. The cage is ok, but the plastic tray is broken in a way I can’t even hot glue it. I cannot get into Vevor site to just buy a new tray. It is such a hassle to repackage it, get the return tag, take to UPS to return for replacement. I’ll have to wait for probably 2-3 weeks to get the cage replaced cage back. But, I cannot even find the Vevor 30″ Flight Birdcage to just buy the tray that goes with it, and the price.

I am moving and I purchased 3 cages to use for my birds for the move. the cages are very nice, there is a lot of room for travel, the quality is very good, but most importantly my birds are very happy in their moving cages.

My feather buddy is very happy and has plenty of room. I did find the need to shore up some of the looser gaps with zip ties. However for the money very durable and roomy.

The doors are great on this! Easy access to all that’s required to get into the cage, and I love the covered seed dishes, included! I did notice the connections needed to be secured, so zip ties worked nicely. There’s even a spring door on the side of the cage. For the price, I’m nicely surprised at all that came with this. The three Zebra Finches living there now have made it their home. Very nice cage!

I have 3 good sized sturdy heavy more upright steel bird cages. However, my sweet canary could not really fly & exercise his wings in any of them. Doing research I learned that wider cages, not upright ones, are recommended for flying. I have my bird cage in the corner with furniture on each side of it. So I needed the cage to be lightweight if I needed to lift it to move it to be thoroughly cleaned. I like the cage high so I put a large sturdy plastic tote on top of the big square end table with the cage on top. I keep things I don’t use in the tote (My tax records ; ).
The assembly couldn’t be more simple. Have another person help you hold the cage to stabilize it while you use the permanent hooks to hook the sides together. The bottom of the cage needed more stability so I simply tied the bottom corners with twist ties or plastic tightening ties. Then the bottom plastic tray slides out easily for cleaning. I like to line it with newspaper to keep it cleaner.
I don’t use the bottom feeder cups to avoid seed hulls flying all over & also to prevent droppings from contaminating the seeds. Instead I use a clear plastic feeder that I hang up inside in an upper corner that my bird goes into on the perch inside the feeder. That prevents a lot of mess. The bottom of the cage is wire like the cage sides. This allows my bird to stay out of the droppings that land on the cage bottom. But I put an 8″ ceramic tile in the middle of the cage (not under perches) to dump the remaining feeder seeds onto before I refill the feeder. My little buddy enjoys hopping & picking through these remaining seeds. The tile is easy to remove out the big front door to clean as needed. I like the two small doors on the bottom as my arm goes through them to change the tube waterer in one front corner at the top & refill or take out the inside feeder in the other front top corner. These small doors prevent my bird from getting out when I’m working in the cage. I added a couple more wood perches close to each end of the cage that go the opposite way of the 2 long perches. My bird loves flying back & forth to these 2 perches. He resides in my living room so I cover the cage when it’s dark outside with a room darkening curtain.
Make sure to setup the cage perches & accessories before you put your bird in. My canary loves his mirror, few toys he can peck at, even unraveling pieces of twine, little bell toy & his swing. But I keep those at the corners or near the sides & leave a large open area in the middle at the top for flying. He loves his new home!
The only change I would make would be to have the large door fasten to the cage on the bottom to keep it out of the way & act as a landing pad for the bird to go back into the cage. The large door is big enough to allow the bird to escape as you are working in the cage. So I hang a washcloth curtain with clothes pins to the top of the door opening when I need to use the big door to prevent my little singing prince from escaping. That would be easier if the door hinged at the bottom. I may remodel that.

The media could not be loaded.

My parrotlet was born with deformed feet and needs a flight cage suitable for flying, platforms and ramps for navigating as she can’t perch. Design wise it works. Peeka has plenty of room for flight and enjoying her second floor platforms.

This cage took about 2 minutes to set up, very simple to unfold and set up, the tray is a little stiff when sliding in or out to clean but otherwise it’s a perfect cage and will be home to a 8 week cockatiel!
    Will do until he grows.

Update: The large cage door has fallen on my bird twice when trying to get him out, it’s very flimsy and slams on his back even when fully open
