These lacrosse balls are a nice weight and but were very confusing to set up. There’s no instructions included. So first I opened the light-up insert and took the plastic off the three batteries. Then I removed the foam washer at the ends of the battery, then screwed it back together. My son thought you needed the rubber band as a spacer to fit the light in the ball, so we tried pushing it in really hard. It kind of fit, but was going to be very difficult to turn off or remove. So after all of that we did things differently with the second light. At first, I couldn’t even tell when the other two lights were for, maybe some kind of necklace based on the eye-hole in the top, but then realized that the green top could be fit on it.
None of this should have been this difficult. The balls were fun to play with. The green light was bright enough, but not overwhelming. The light was very difficult to turn off. I was hoping for a quarter turn, but I realized that you had to unscrew the hole thing before the light really turned off. In the end, we had to store a little bag of parts with these balls, which will be more trouble than it’s worth. These balls are a novelty, but not something I expect my son to use regularly.

Love watching the dog run across the yard at night with this ball in his mouth can’t see the dog but you can see the ball moving in midair it’s really nice

My boys like this lacrosse ball a lot. It’s weighted like a regular ball, it’s sturdy, and it lights up significantly. Way beyond a subtle
glow.
It has a few design issues, however. Like turning it off and on is a matter of taking the batteries out. Which are securely screwed into the ball. And the tool they supply to screw and unscrew the battery area fits awkwardly (it shouldn’t be rounded) and strips the screw. I have one son who just leaves the ball on. Which is a bummer bcz the batteries aren’t standard sized. So I won’t have any extra laying around here for when he wants to light it up.
I’d give it a lower score, because those issues are sort of game changers. But, it’s such a cool item that lights up way better than anticipated. They still come out ahead.
I believe they’ll iron out the wrinkles.

These are light up, not glow in the dark. They don’t work without the light. The ball itself is good and is durable with good bounce. But just beware, there are light up

I was skeptical that these would feel right in hand, with the fact that there’s a piece of the ball hollowed out. However, it seems they kept that in mind when designing these!! In truth, my kids don’t like playing in full dark with these, but it is fun at dusk to extend play time a bit.

These are not high quality lacrosse balls and get “greased” easily but they are fun to play in the dark with. So far no issues with the light falling out. Fun to throw to the dogs too to play fetch at night.
