I’ve been buzzing my own hair (or lack thereof) and beard for many years. This is the 4th hair trimmer I’ve purchased and the most expensive thus far. The trimmer feels much more substantial and quality-like from the start. It’s fairly heavy and contains no cheap-looking clunky plastic. It operates very quietly. The blade guards feel quality-engineered and quality-made too. I knew my older Philips trimmer blade was getting dull, but didn’t realize how bad it was until I used this trimmer for the 1st time. It cuts each hair easily and uniformly in a single pass, which cuts down the time it takes to cut my hair or beard. The cutting head design makes for very easy cleanup. I can see myself very happy with this trimmer for a long time.

Absolutely amazing product. Heavy, rock solid construction feels confident in the hand, great ergonomics and solid grip even when hand is soapy. But the best part is the forever blade makes it easy to see what’s getting cut, even with guard on (I used the 2). Most precise edge for a jawbone line beard I’ve ever had. And with the guard it combs as it cuts with the grain of the hair, keeping stray whiskers knocked down. I’ve been pinched/cut before with fatter spaced blade rakes, but I didn’t feel threatened trimming under the nose.

Great job Wahl. Worth the extra money for a pro level groom. My new daily device.

I love this trimmer so far…. The battery charged quickly, it does a great job cuts nearly as close as a razor right out of the box….!
It has a solid feel, the battery is probably pretty heavy and at least part of that. It just feels solid in my hand. 👏 The attachments, are a little tricky to get used to, but once you do it is pretty simple comes with a pretty nice carrying case, so everything stays where it should be. I will probably only use one or two of the attachments/ trimmer guides. But it comes with everything you may need, it is a little on the pricey side. In my humble opinion, it is well worth the price.
I have been trimming my own beard for 50 years, so I have the experience to be an adequate judge. I do not use a blade razor anymore, because I have pinched nerves in both of my arms, and my hands don’t work all that well because of this.
I guess everyone will have to be their own judge on whether they think this item is worth it, but I recommend it, and might even recommend it to the person who cuts my hair…. I am going to see her tonight as a matter of fact !

This is the best beard trimmer and shaver that I have ever had in my light. I highly recommend this if you are growing a beard and need to do daily grooming. This is an absolute must. The battery life is excellent. It performs flawlessly, it’s very easy to clean the attachments. Are easy to put on and take off, and it charges in no time.

I learned that investing in Wahl is worth the higher price, and it doesn’t disappoint. When COVID hit, we needed to purchase two hair clippers. The battery-operated clipper was amazing, providing great results. However, the wired trimmer posed a challenge for my wife, as she had limited movement due to the wire. Despite that, the trimmer itself performed really well and didn’t require much maintenance besides regular oiling. But when I bought this battery-operated trimmer, it made the process much easier for my wife to cut both my hair and the boys’ hair. It saved us at least 10 minutes per haircut. The blade is sharp but gentle on the skin, and the charging time is reasonable.

The only downside is that it uses its own charging wire instead of USB-C, which is quite limiting. I’m afraid that if the cable breaks for any reason, we won’t be able to replace it easily.

Overall, the trimmer is very good and handy indeed.

The Wahl skeleton trimmer is priced higher than expected, but is a solid, weighty multi-purpose hair grooming tool. At a lower price, I might recommend it, but at the current price of around $150, I’d be very hard-pressed to justify this multi-trimmer device.

Let’s start with what’s included: a carry-case containing the tool itself, multiple blade guard attachments (everything you need), a small brush, an oil container, a charging cable (terminating in USB-A, more on that later) and the 3 different attachments: foil shaver, hair trimmer, nose hair trimmer.
The case is well-put together although the foam where the tool sits looks haphazardly glued together. Blade guards are separated out into a plastic baggie to keep things organized.

Now let’s talk about the tool itself, and its individual attachments.

The tool: It feels good in the hand, weight is ideal and distributed nicely. It certainly feels like a premium product, though I suppose only time will prove that ultimately. These days its very.. interesting.. to see such a device shipped without a full charging mechanism. I suppose it’s a safe assumption that everyone has a USB charger, but I wish that there was at least an acknowledgement or notice of why there was no USB brick included. From a brand like Wahl, I expected a bit more on that front.

Trimmer/clipper attachment: I can’t help but think that it doesn’t cut lines as cleanly as I would expect. As a point of comparison, I also own a cheap ‘Renpho’ brand trimmer which came in at a whipping $30, and that one cuts cleaner lines than this Wahl trimmer. Somehow I find myself going back over the same lines again and again (irritating the skin, mind you) so that I can get cleaner lines. Not a huge problem if you’re going to finish up the lines with a straight razor, as I do, but still a touch disappointing. When using it with blade guards to trim down beard hair, etc, however, I’m 100% satisfied.

Nose hair trimmer attachment: What can I say, it just works. It’s a simple mechanism really.

Foil shaver: Here’s the attachment I find to be the least useful maybe? It’s about an inch and a half wide for starters, so that limits its usefulness right off the bat. It is a dual-foil shaver, so that helps somewhat. But I’d much rather use my $70 Andis foil shaver for a better shave quality. I guess it’s a nice-to-have attachment thrown in at a fairly cheap price.

Overall: Ultimately it’s a nice product, but again, I’m not sure I can justify the price point when I can find 3 different tools that do the same things that this tool does, better and for a cheaper price. Would I recommend this at this price? No, I cannot.
