    I like the West Biking, Bike Stand, most of all, because, unlike a competitor’s, it can hold my heaviest bicycle, a Diamondback Sport Response, level, BY THE (almost) vertical SEATPOST, without slipping and dropping the front wheel to just before the floor. (And without holding the bike by the Top Tube – which could potentially squeeze your brake and shift cables, possibly damaging them or affecting adjustment.) It does this by the design of the Horizontal Arm (Clamp Arm) – it’s keyed at the connection to the Vertical Arm. (vs. the competitor’s design, which relies on a hex bolt trying to squeeze a circular Horizontal Arm pipe and not let it move.)

    Unfortunately, this better design by West Biking fixes and limits the length of the horizontal Arm, and thus it has a fixed distance your bike is out from the table the Bike Stand is affixed to. To extend my bike’s pedals further out and prevent pedal strikes to the table, I used 2-inch (?) deck screws and attached the West Biking’s Bike Stand to two, 12-inch long 2×4 scrap, and then affixed the 2×4 to my table, overhanging about 2 inches. Using screws this way, you have to be careful and plan their location, to avoid a screw on a top board, going through it, and being stopped by a screw underneath. Ask me how I know. And be careful not to hit and bend your rear deraileur or its hanger when doing maintenance or repair on a bike. That would suck. One of the other things not perfect on the West Biking stand, is that the adjustment screws are NOT a ‘quick release’ design, which makes closing the clamp on the bike a little tedious and longer than it could be – remember, you’re holding the weight of the bike up w/ 1 hand, while turning closed the clamp w/ your other hand. So, to make it easier, I have car ramps to raise the bicycle up some, reducing the height I have to lift it. The West Biking Bike Stand has room for improvement, but for the money, it’s OK. If I were to consider my options, I may shop for a different Repair Stand that lifted my bike higher, and clamped onto it easier and faster.

    For me, using my bench vise to secure this clamp worked just as well as mounting it to a table. If the table height is too low, the bike’s position will also be too low for repairs. The height that this clamp’s bottom surface needs to be at is above 4’ to properly position a bike for an ‘all around’ repair. So far, it is functional.
    I’ll weld a taller bracket for the future, if needed.

    Nice and sturdy. Almost all metal. Clamp is very adjustable. Just add even a broomstick and save a couple hundred off the price of a livescope mount. Really happy with it.

    I needed a bench mounted bike workstand to work on my bikes and this fit the bill perfectly. I have it clamped to my bench vice which gets hit up off the ground. This looks well-made I was able to hang my specialized Enduro 27 five with no problems off of it.
    I might mount it to a piece 4 x 6 and use that to clamp in the vice . The threaded rods are thick and hold well

    This is a very practical solution for mounting an outdoor bike stand. Bolted it to my deck support, which is 10’ high, and it allowed me ample room for work. Priced well and solid construction. Now I’m looking for a cover to keep the weather off of it! Highly recommend!!🙂

    This bike clamp is a great setup for home mechanics. The clamp I was sent was missing the bolt that locks the clamp and holds it together so I improvised the same thread pitch long bolt and a washer to hold it all together. The clamp opens wide and is built well enough to hold the seat post tightly and minimize any wobbling. There is enough surface area in the clamp that it should securely grip a top tube without crimping it if acidity but I’d be careful or not use that option on a carbon frame. The main body is a glass reinforced plastic and at first look seemed like it would be the mode of failure but has held well and securely so far. I’d recommend this if all of the parts are included and with some ingenuity I was able to use mine, but be sure all the parts are included before use.

    I have an E-bike that weights about 70 lbs. (oof) and it fits just fine. I bolted the stand to a heavy work bench, and it is very stable. I can back pedal and forward pedal with ease for cleaning and lubricating. I am very pleased with it.

    Have a few bikes but never a service stand. Started looking at the stand alone models but seemed very hit or miss and cost alot more. Saw this and the reviews were good. Attached to a 2×6 length of board, which I then clamped to my work bench with heavy duty clamps. Works well. Held my older and heavy mountain bike with no issues, like the adjustment of angles side to side and the swivel head. Clamp holds firmly. Takes a bit of adjustment to get the pedals to clear the table and 2×6 but not horrible. Would purchase again.
