I had originally written a positive review. However, after one gig (actually after one set), the pedal failed spectacularly.
Specifically, the beater stem was not made of hardened steel and became badly bent. I have never seen this from a kick pedal, ever. Total deal-breaker for my needs.
The rest of the pedal seems ok, so if you have a light touch, or already have a better beater you can swap out, you might be ok.
Another minor point is that the thumb-nuts that adjust the spring tension would not stay tightened, This might have been just my lack of finger-strength, but I’ve never had this issue before.
I’m grateful there were no issues with returning it.

I have to say that this is probably the best dollar for performance value item I’ve ever purchased for my drums. I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks, but so far, this pedal has been super smooth, stury and fast. It’s not a Demon Drive, but it’s not too shabby for the price, and will match or crush most pedals that sell for less than $250. If not having a name-brand pedal isn’t a problem for you, this is an excellent choice. I’ll update this review if that changes, but so far, this pedal is pretty darn sweet.

Perhaps I should start by saying you won’t be getting a pro grade pedal. However, for less than forty dollars, you’re getting a double chain, responsive pedal that doesn’t make any noticeable off sounds: squeaks, clanks or rattles. You can tell the machining of threads is a tad rough so I plan on running them out with a tap and die set. I just refurbished a 70s era Ludwig Speed King, and I still have a soft spot for its old school U.S. build quality. This pedal doesn’t match that American hardware but it feels more responsive and I’m playing double beats with ease now. That being said, this is not the pedal you want for hard pro gigging and touring. All in all a very good value.

Love this pedal. Quick,double chain,cheap,and smooth. This plays as nice as my tama iron cobra! only thing I did was add a beefier spring. I blow through pedals because I play with a really tight spring setup so I can do rolls easier. That being said this is a life saver. Going to order another for backup. I like that its fully adjustable on the spring side so I can adjust the angle of the beater and the attachment key is on the side and not under the pedal. Its quiet and pretty beefy seems like its going to hold up if I kill it too quick I will amend this review but I doubt I will!
