1 star is the lowest I could go. Bought two Zebco Stinger reals, first weekend of use, really only about 2hrs) threw two away. Bails wouldn’t close easily or at all on either one after several casts. Noticed them getting tighter and harder to advance the crank handle. Appears work out. Grandsons really disappointed. Guess they were on sale for a reason.

For $40.00 this rod and reel combo is decent! However the pre-spooled line that comes with these is total garbage! The line has so much memory (loops) that it’s going to get all tangled up after a few casts and be unusable. The line was also old and thus very weak. I highly suggest to remove the line that comes on the reel and replace it with some quality line. I did just that and it made the experience much more enjoyable! The pre-spooled line sounds good on paper but in reality its just a hassle!
