This is a great product for a great price. The pet store sell the same thing at a much higher price. My daughters crabs love hiding and climbing all over this.

This was not ahut that my hermit crabs could hide under. I received a bag of smashed bark. Do not buy this if you want something your crabs can go under.

The item is described as a cork shelter that hermit crabs can hide under. The picture shows a rounded cork shelter. The item I received was a flat piece of bark. I have seen this item in the pet store and those were all actual rounded shelters. I paid $5 for a flat piece of bark that I could have pulled off my tree out back. If you are going to purchase this item, do it at a pet store where you can make sure you are getting something that an animal can actually hide under.

Way to small for really anything… it had a really tiny bug crawling on it so u had to chuck it out.:(
I use them for feeding bark since they are so small that there really isn’t much else to use it for.

I needed some additional items to put in my hermit crabs home. They like digging, hiding and crawling on top of things. This seems to fit all their needs. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because it was described as a “shelter”. I was expecting there to be more of an arch so they could hide under it. It really is that big of a deal since they do still mange to crawl under it by digging out some of the substrate under it.

This product is not as advertised. I received a tiny piece of essentially flat cork log; dimensions NOT as listed in the description. The piece I received is maybe 2inches, and fills about 1/3 of the packaging.

I bought these for lizard hatchlings and they were little more than just a PC of cork bark. Not shaped like a shelter, just flat pcs. I couldn’t imagine a hermit crab trying to shelter itself in these when a lizard hatchling can’t even get under it. You get what you paid for I guess.
