Product came quickly and in good shape. In the past I have had issues with soiled or rancid moss coming in the mail, but this pack was nice and dry. I’m not sure if that’s a preference for some, but for me it’s a must. We use this stuff sparingly for our leppard geckos’ moist hide, so having it relatively dry for storage purposes is helpful. It’s easy to dampen it with some warm water and squeeze out the excess for a nice damp hide. It’s best to keave it just barely wet, otherwise it gets too damp. We pop ours in the microwave for a few seconds to get a nice steam before putting it in with the little ones. They love the warmth and humidity. (Yes, we let it cool a but and test the heat before putting it in their cage). Good product, good seller.

Habe das Moos für meine Landschildkröte zum Überwintern gekauft und es erfüllt seinen Zweck, die Kiste schön feucht zu halten.
Ist nicht besonders knallig grün, aber vielleicht habe ich auch etwas falsch gemacht.

It’s genuine moss. I took a star away because the packaging?! Come on….I’m sure it can’t cost that much more to put the moss in a sealed bag and then in the box. See that box that says Terrarium Moss? Well the moss is sitting in there naked. Pretty messy if you’re using the moss like me and only using a little at a time.

Some have complained that the majority of their moss was actually little sticks and whatnot. That was not the case for me. A few sticks here and there, but it’s not a big deal. It’s all natural what do u expect? And the price is good. A bit cheaper than the pet chains.

I use this product for my ball python cages. I have two cages that are 4 feet long by 2 feet wide by 2 feet tall and it can be hard to keep the humidity right. This moss has helped improve the humidity in the age and my snakes love the feel of it! It was easy to hydrate. I just wouldn’t let any of the moss touch the water in the water dish as it will absorb it and leak out into your bedding. The moss does have a smell to it.

So my 12 Y/O has been collecting land snails outside, we now have 6 and had to upgrade our make-shift home for them to a more substantial home for them all. This is perfect and I’m happy to say, the snails love it! They burrow down, but are able to go around to get their food. Perfect!

Preso per il mio terrario con le tartarughe. La confezione è grande ma la qualità lascia un pò a desiderare. Molti pezzi sono scuri (dunque rovinati).

The package includes a lot of moss for a very low price. I cannot clean the moss but that is ok because I can easily replace it with the amount of moss I was given. I really enjoy this moss and my ball python does too. So I recommend this product.

First let me say that I purchased this moss to use for my Venus Fly Traps and Orchids. I was hoping to have found a cheap pure sphagnum moss, but that wasn’t quite the case. Some moss is definitely there, but there is a ton of bark and twigs here as well which seems to be a filler. There just might be more of the bark than moss. I came across several 5 inch or so twigs of what seems to be some sort of cedar. This definitely isn’t the soft and fluffy moss as I was being poked constantly by the twigs while I was trying to moisten the moss. If you look carefully near the upper left corner in the product picture, you can see a twig there, which of course I didn’t notice before I purchased. Multiply that by at least 5, and that’s what I got.

I can’t complain too much as this is marketed as terrarium moss and I was a rebel using it for plants, but if it just said “Sphagnum Moss”, I’d be quite upset. I do have to say though that the packaging does kind of imply that that’s all that’s in here though. I can see how pets would enjoy this I guess, but if you want soft bedding for your pets, I’d say turn away. I did go ahead and use it for my Venus Fly Traps, so we’ll see how it goes. Definitely not using it for my orchids though.
