This sand is easy to clean. It is fine sand so my sand boa and geckos love it. The only drawback that I can see is you can’t rush when filling your tank it will give a nice dust bowl.

Not too good to be true. Great deal for the amount of sand. I prefer white or purple but for the price, I don’t mind the color. I use a black light and throw little white flowers around in the sand. It looks nice.

The only thing I liked about this sand is the softness of it. My bearded dragon on the other hand did not like it. It had a really distinct smell and it stained your hands. So, I just bought the white sand in this brand and he loves it.

Bought this for a baby Sonoran Tortoise that ended up somehow in my tightly panel fenced back yard, some time after our recent monsoon rains. We tried finding a home for it but no takers, seems par for the course for our tri-state desert.
Bought this vita-sand due to the young age of the tortoise, but didn’t realize how powdery-dusty it would be.
It is very fine grain, like a fine cornmeal, and after the tortoise eats or drinks, and then walks through the sand, it sticks like cornmeal to it’s face and feet.
I have some flat rocks in the reptile aquarium that a neighbor gave me after finding out I discovered it, and you can tell, by the trail of sand left behind, that the tortoise had been there.
Since I’m new to this (mainly to help this young one survive it’s first year before release, I have no clue yet of whether this sand is best, or, to go to a grass pellet to replace the sand, which seems at the moment logically to help keep the little guy from ingesting too much.
The yellow cornmeal color does make it easier to see where it may have deficated and clean that area.

Je l’ai utilisé pour mon hamster pendant deux ans et ça marche parfaitement

Exactly what I needed for my bearded dragon. Took quite a while to ship but was worth the wait considering it was 1/3 the price of what I would have paid in store.

I loke the sand very much, especially my gecko. I found it to be expensive.

Is it weird that I think it’s smells a little like donuts? Lol. Better than poop smell!

my local pet store charges around $30 per bag for this stuff. it works really well in my gecko’s tank, and having just found it on here, I will be buying it here from now on.
to Jam:
I have a gecko, and everything I have read, including the gecko care guide I got with him said calcium sand was fine, and that it was recommended as that they were likely to eat some of the ground cover anyway. this sand is fine rather than course, so it can pass through the lizards digestive system easily. lots of things can kill your lizard, the key, like in life, is to balance happiness with safety. I have put this calcium sand in with my gecko along with other ground covers such as coconut husk at the same time, and he prefers it to other medias. there is also a minute chance that crickets can survive getting eaten, and burrow out of the lizard, it’s a small chance however, and I’m going to keep feeding him crickets because he likes them, and it makes him a happy gecko, which is more fun to watch. similarly, my gecko will keep getting calcium sand.
