So I am not like crazy about these but they do work. If you install them yourself make sure to install them right. 1) load the right side of bottom bracket with lots of grease (Park Tool PPL-1 is my fav.), insert bearing and add more grease. 2) Screw in right side of bottom bracket (WARNING: do NOT cross thread) tighten to suggested Nm. 3) insert spindle through the left side of bottom bracket and rotate to help the grease of your evenly spread throughout the bearing, this helps with getting proper pressure in the bearings. 4) load the left side of bottom bracket with grease, insert bearing, add more grease. 5) screw in left side of bottom bracket do not tighten. 6) spin spindle to evenly distribute grease. 7) turn left side of bottom bracket 1/8 check for play in the spindle, repeat until there is no play in the spindle.
Improper installation may result in: wearing out bearings, wearing out bottom bracket, wearing out spindle. to check for work out bottom bracket, take a ball point pen and use the tip (the ball) to feel where the bearings make contact on bottom bracket/spindle. If you feel “pitting” then replace the bottom bracket/spindle. Pitting will like potholes in the road.

Fit? Perfectly. A real value at 1/2 the cost for 2 from cycling parts. And you get 2 more. I want to order another 4 pack. These work great on the cheap hybrid bikes, beach cruisers and don’t matter if aluminum or steel frame. As long as they measure the same and use 1/4″ by 9 bearings. For a bottom bracket. No more wobbling, side play or grinding. And the chain will stay in the same gears lol. Note to builder, grease them well.
