Was a bit of a hassle to install because the insides of my current computer did not want to come apart. Just a piece of plastic that had a bur on it keeping it from releasing . Computer is noticeably quicker now.

Easy to install and booted right up with no bios tweaks by me.

The New RAM cards work great! I replaced the RAM cards that were in my PH Pavilion Gaming Desktop. From 6 GB to 32 GB and WoW what a difference. I can finally play all games on Maxed graphics and play games now on this PC that I was never able to play before because of the horrible lag I used to have. They work great, are easy to change out and I have had no issues. It is just awesome now! I highly recommend these RAM cards to anyone thinking about upgrading, don’t wait to upgrade it, upgrade now, it is so worth it!

What I purchased: Crucial RAM 64GB Kit (4x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22
What it’s for: Alienware Aurora R9 (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz), 16GB RAM default
First off, the RAMs were easy to install, you just pop open the R9 case and swap out the existing 2 sticks for these 4, close the case and you’re good to go, no configurations necessary. Once you boot up you should receive a notification that your memory has changed, just hit continue and the RAMs work perfectly. These RAMs are highly compatible with the Alienware Aurora R9!
Now for the downside, these RAMs are not XMP therefore my R9 could only utilize them at 2666mhz clock speed and not the full 3200mhz these sticks were rated for. The R9 requires that the RAM you use be XMP in order to reach speeds of 3200mhz. So if you wanted 3200mhz you’d have to ensure that you buy XMP RAM and not these. There are some systems that could utilize the full 3200mhz but Alienware R9 is not one of those, which is why it’s capped at 2666mhz.
I play World of Warcraft on this and run Chrome with multiple tabs open, discord, music, multiple other chat apps, etc and my PC is now utilizing around 23GB out of the 64GB. So maybe in hindsight I should have stuck to 32GB and not 64GB which is overkill. If you’re a gamer like me that like to multi task then 32GB should be more than adequate… It’s kinda like ordering food at a restaurant, never be the person that orders food when you’re starving. You will over order…. stick with 32GB first… chances are you won’t even hit 28GB of usage.. extra RAM beyond your utilization rate doesn’t help.

I bought these to upgrade my RAM. My XSP 8940 came with 16 GB of RAM and I wanted to upgrade since I do photo editing. I bought these to get 48GB of RAM only to learn that my Dell doesn’t accept 48GB of RAM so I ended up with 40GB instead. These Crucial RAM sticks work well but do not to achieve 48 GB because of the configuration of allowable upgrades. I could buy two more 16GB sticks and go to 64GB. That is possible.

Went from 16 to 32gigs. Makes a good difference. Easy to install. If your hesitant just look up a YouTube tutorial. Install takes about 5 mins, and it pretty much sets it up without my help.

I got a Dell XPS 8940 desktop, it comes with 16GB RAM in it, I didn’t want to replace it with other RAM plus Dell Original RAM is super expensive! Then I got greedy and bought this 32GB RAM. Interestingly, the original Dell RAM is 3200MHz 1.2v, (always carefully check, because there are many RAM isn’t run at 1.2v) but it only can ran upto 2933 MHz, and I found installation of this RAM can be tricky.
Because if you add this retail RAM into DIMM 2 and DIMM4 and keep the Dell Original unchanged the PC won’t start, and it will black screen.
In some cases the wrong RAM can only run at 2400MHz…
The formula of installing this is like this:
White colour DIMM socket = add 1x Original Dell RAM+ 1x retail RAM.
Black colour DIMM socket = add 1x Original Dell RAM+ 1x retail RAM.
And finally I saw my 48GM upgraded PC RAM running at 2933 MHz speed. Yoohoo! This should be plenty for gaming or anything else.
Anyway, this is great quality product worth its price.

Upgraded a Dell 8920. I’ve had good luck with Crucial RAM over the years and installed this in a Dell 8920 that I had planned to run a lot of virtual machines on in the future. When you’re setting up virtual machines you choose how much RAM you want to give them when they’re running, so it’s helpful to have A LOT of RAM in a machine if you’re going to have a handful of virtual machines running, as well as other applications running.
There’s nothing fancy about this RAM — no cool aerodynamic looking heatsink fins or leds. When did RAM become a fashion statement? Anyway, none of that here, but what you do get is some solid RAM that will work as it’s supposed to and help your machine when running a large amount of RAM-hungry applications or virtual machines.
RAM upgrades are something I try to do quickly these days because the benefits can be enjoyed for years to come. If you’re a power user, someone that does heavy gaming, video editing or have a ton of applications open, then it’s one of the best upgrades you can do for a new PC to max out your RAM.
Happy with Crucial RAM and have used this brand’s memory on multiple machine upgrades without any issues over the years. I’ll continue to buy Crucial RAM in the future!
