Dreo Quiet Space Heater, 1500W Electric Heater

In Sept. 2023, I purchased a Dreo Slim H3 which worked perfectly except the fan was a little too loud, something I could never get used to. My recent purchase of the Dreo Solaris 317 was the answer I was looking for–excellent heat output, accurate thermostat, easy to use, and one which can be accurately described as quiet. I used a power meter to measure actual wattage: H3/high-1390 watts, H2/medium-1280 watts, and H1/low-950 watts. On ECO mode, the heater cycles between High and Low, and then shuts off when the room temperature reaches the temperature set on the heater’s thermostat. What makes this heater different is the fan speed varies with the mode one chooses; on High, the fan speed is fast enough that it can be heard several feet away–almost a little too loud; on Medium, the fan spins noticeably slower and the sound is much quieter; on Low, one has to listen closely to hear that the fan is actually blowing. I believe almost anyone could use The Dreo Solaris in a bedroom with the heater set on Medium or Low and sleep without noticing the fan blowing–it’s that quiet. The Eco mode works very well, cycling between High and Low, and will likely be the setting I use 90% of the time. The Dreo Solaris 317 is as close to perfect as a space heater can be in 2024. Highly recommended.

Ok first of all let me tell you what size I am heating up. The building is wood framed , cedar wall shakes and red cedar roof. Insulated with fiberglass insulation and has 3/8 birch plywood on the walls. The size: 12.5’ X 24’ @ 300 SQ. FT.
THE heater came and I read the manual and got it plugged in and running. I was STUNNED by HOW MUCH heat this little heater put out.
Super dry and quiet way to heat any space.
I’m not kidding I’ve owned every brand of heater and they just don’t do what they claim it can do.
But, this heater throws out so much heat I was in a T-shirt within a half an hour. No joke 30 minutes after turning it on in a cold 300sq ft space, my place was toasty warm. I am so happy I came across this heater. The price is ridiculously low for what you get. Plus it has an eco mode with a thermostat that works PERFECTLY!! I hope it lasts. That’s my only concern at the moment. I will do another review in a month to let people know how it’s doing ok. Hmmmmm it’s nice in here folks.
It’s @11 degrees and the wind is howling outside. Snow is falling at a rate of an inch an hour here. But my space is as comfy and warm as anyplace could be. Thank you for doing a great job on this product. ✌️🇺🇸😎

It has a remote, but the remite does not ‘light-up,’ nor do the tap-buttons on the device, either. So, i velcro’d a mini flashlight, to the top so i can change it w/o getting out of bed ! It’s a little ‘tempermental,’ on temperature, so i just set it to 80-degrees, until i’m warm enough, b/c it has a ‘different opinion,’ from what i think should be 72-degrees ! 😂 I’m always ‘cold.’ & when i waje-up cold, i just want immediate alleviation, & this unit can do that in about 10 mins. The swivel is good, & the unit is totally quiet, which is a nice change from my other unit of a different brand, but that unit does heat the whole room in about 15 mins. I use this unit on a smaller couple of rooms, but i have not yet found a convenient median temperature yet: & all heaters are different. It does turn off on the timer, & is easy enough to reset the time. Quality of manufacture is excellent, sturdy, & high output, cooler to touch, has no adverse smell, & i don’t have enough outlets to run Everyrhing-at-the-outlet, so i do have this unit on a newer surge-protector, with no troubles. The cord soes not get hot on highest setting, which is a big plus to know it’s safer. Happy with it, even tho’ it’s not just a 4-click unit, which i’m used to & is easier. For the money & its 15″ H x 6″ W x 4.5″ D, it’s lightweight & easy to carry. Always good to have a few different, space-heaters around, i have found, as i tend to ‘use them forever.’ 🙂 It for me, was a emergency, & new back-up, just in case. Good value, even if ovely ‘button-pushing-needy’… 😂 All i want is ‘immediate heat,’ & this can basically do that.
