This blender is awesome. I’m able to make morning smoothies super fast. Bonus feature is that it’s self cleaning. So in less than five minutes, I can make a smoothie and clean the blender before running out the door for work. The blender is very sturdy. Yes the price tag is a bit steep, but I think of it like an investment. I could spend less for a crappy blender, but then in time I’d have to replace it over and over. Just buy this blender and call it a day.

Comes with US plug and required 120V. Emailed producer, who said that they themselves do not sell US products to outside the US and strongly recommend against using a down-stepper transformer. DO NOT try connecting it directly without a transformer either as this would fry the device

The difference between this blender and one you get from Walmart is striking! This has a super strong motor and it is very well made.

I am not – WAS not – much of a “blender guy”, but the Vitamix 5200 changed that. And even though I am typing this all out in a product review, where that sort of sentiment belongs, it still sounds absurd to me. Who gets impressed by a *blender*? Me, apparently.

Prior to this Vitamix the only blender I had ever used in my *entire life* was an ancient Osterizer from the 70s. The thing is literally older than I am, but beyond all reasonable expectations it still somehow works. Go Osterizer, I guess? This year I grew way too many hot peppers, decided to make a bunch of hot sauce with them, and suddenly the Osterizer showed its age. While it was fine blending a couple of smoothies a month for us, it struggled to blend up 12 litres of hot sauce in one night, so I figured maybe the time had come to get a “real” (I.E. manufactured in this century) blender.

After some internet research I selected the Vitamix 5200 as being the most likely not to struggle through my new hot sauce hobby, only to find that I was basically swatting a fly with a nuke. That old Osterizer took about 2 hours of blending and cooling down to do 12 litres of my (admittedly very thick) hot sauce puree. The Vitamix 5200 did all 12 litres in less than 2 minutes.

The Vitamix 5200 is *absurd*. And that has made it life-changing for us.

It doesn’t matter what you put in there. You can just shove the most fibrous of vegetables in there, right up to the brim, and *bvvvvvt*, instantly pureed. Shove a bunch of ice in there…instant slushy. Anything that is a solid that you no longer want to be a solid anymore this blender will handle.

So we went from a household that might make a couple of smoothies every month to one that is now bulk-making sauces, soups, and so forth. We even just toss hole grains of various types (wheat, oatmeal, rye, flax, etc.) and turn them into our own multi-grain flower, then into pre-mixed dry bread ingredients.

When we are “low spoons” – I.E. we just don’t have the jam to cook properly – we can just pull out some of our pre-made sauce from the freezer, drop it on some noodles, et voila: actual food groups get consumed.

As an ADHD household we have been familiar with the concept of “a critical threshold of ease of use” for some time, but we never expected to find that in a *blender*. Somehow, however, the thing is both just easy enough to use and powerful enough to handle whatever we throw at it with zero prep work that has managed to make the “pre-cooking your nutritious meals” parts of adulting just easy enough that we can actually do them on a regular basis.

If you’re looking for a top-of-the-line blender for your home, you’d be hard-pressed to find anything that would top it, I think. All those rave reviews on the internet were, for once, actually not lying.

Someone who does blender reviews said this may not be the best Vitamix, but is likely the best blender ever made. I make a smoothie 5-6 times a week and this has the best blend quality I’ve ever experienced. Ingredients I’ve had trouble with in other blenders are no match for it: frozen strawberries, chocolate chips, almonds, ice.

The size is pretty ideal. I can make a single 20 oz smoothie with no trouble, or even do 3 at a time for friends. The lid is snug, and lets you add ingredients while blending without your blend getting out. Cleans up super easy with a half carafe of water, a drop of dish soap, and 20 seconds on high.

Making oat milk and almond milk is almost concerningly easy, and incredibly cheap compared to buying them commercially. I can’t wait to try making nut butter, hummus, and soups.

After years of having mediocre blenders I finally treated myself, and boy was it worth it.

The Vitamix 5200 Blender is an absolute powerhouse in the kitchen, exceeding all expectations for performance, versatility, and durability. This blender has revolutionized my cooking experience, making it effortless to create smoothies, soups, sauces, nut butters, and even ice cream with consistently smooth and delicious results.

The powerful motor and sharp blades effortlessly pulverize even the toughest ingredients, leaving no chunks or gritty textures. The variable speed control allows for precise adjustments, ensuring the perfect consistency for every recipe. I particularly appreciate the ability to make hot soups directly in the blender, saving time and dishes.

The 64-ounce container is perfect for family meals or batch cooking, and the self-cleaning feature makes cleanup a breeze. While the price may seem steep initially, the Vitamix 5200 is a worthwhile investment that will pay for itself in no time through the countless culinary creations and healthy meals it enables.

The quality and durability of the Vitamix 5200 are undeniable. It’s built to last, with a solid construction and high-quality materials that can withstand daily use. I’ve been using mine for years, and it still performs like new.

Overall, the Vitamix 5200 is an exceptional blender that deserves all the praise it receives. It’s a must-have appliance for anyone who values healthy eating, culinary creativity, and long-lasting quality. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen arsenal.

I got tired of crappy blenders and decided to spend the money on a blender with great reviews across the board and I was not disappointed. If this thing can’t blend it, then the thing you’re trying to blend simply doesn’t blend. It’ll take anything you throw at it and rip it to shreads! So powerful, and surprisingly quite for a blender, especially at the slower speeds. I highly recommend this blender, with it’s simple controls, and beast of a motor!

Lemon Scent who sold this blender are a fantastic company, I was initially disappointed that this blender came with an American plug and chose to return it. But Lemon Scent bent over backwards to meet my needs, they will supply an adapter to use in a UK kitchen.
I purchased a Vitamix blender many years ago and fell in love with this versatile machine. Easy to use and clean. Worth the investment for sure.
    Thank you Lemon Scent.

It’s the best blender without any bells and whistles. Pricey but again it is the BEST.

It is THE restaurants’ standard peace of equipment that last decades under heavy use, and restaurants will use this machine more in a week than you will in a lifetime. You most-likely will never need another blender (at least not for 15-20+ years)

The design coupled with its power gives you smoothe and most consistent results. If you get into making, smoothies, purees, nuttbutters, or any blending (like soups, refried beans, and even hummus) you can’t get much better outside of some fancy setting/buttons (which I find unnecessary) and maybe some safety features/failsafes (which again, I also don’t find necessary, because a good rule of thumb too not stick your hand in it while on the motor…)

The only con I have is it is tall and usually doesn’t fit in spaces between the counter and cupboard when you put the blender on the motor. Easy solution just pull the motor out so it isn’t under the cupboard. I do wish my cupboard are hight so i can have the whole blend just chilling on the counter like my Toaster. But I just do that with the bottom motor and store rest of the blender away. I would have gone for a shorter blender, but this size gives me opinions making it less of a hassle when I do need to blend more or if i need to make more than 1 or 2 smoothies. Plus I find the narrowing design towards the bottom of the blender helps with the product. Personally this size is just right for all my bending projects and it fits in most standard dishwashers, if blitzing some soapy water doesn’t already do the trick.

So IF you are finding yourself needing a bender, wish your smoothies felt more like SMOOTHies rather and Slushie from a certain drive-in, or want a better consistency for purees and have a easier time makingemulsions . Your journey ends here.

    Disclaimers:
-Obviously this an investment, but if you want a great appliance this is a “buy once cry one” kind of purchase. If you DO NOT have a blender, think of how (or if) a blender be helpful to you. If your not satisfied with your cheaper bender, it’s probably because it isn’t a vitamix or at least not the 5200

-With the Vitmix 5200 blender MAKE A HABIT of always turning the dial to 1 and flip the switch to “Variable” before and after turning it on. The power of this bad boy need a little bit of responsibility. Flipping it on while it is switched on “High” or dialed to a “10” (especially without a lid) can splatter all over the place.

-This blender is also loud, you won’t suffer earing damage but you’ll get an earful if a baby is sleeping in the next room. Also, Late night smoothies can also run the risk of head trauma if you have a wife… blend responsibly.

I’ve had cheap blenders in the past few years, including Ninja and other “affordable” models, and they never lasted. They survive for a few months or a year before breaking, fracturing, or simply not giving the power I require for something like a standard silky smooth smoothies. No matter how much water to fruit or vegetable ratio I used, all of my smoothies turned up lumpy, unfinished, or goopy.

The amount of money I have wasted on cheap brands compared to this high quality blender specifically the 5200 is upsetting. Very pleased with the power, but as one would always say, could be cheaper, but you can’t really put a price on quality.
