Loved this until you plug it in and there is a constant clicking noise. Phoned customer service and they said this is normal for this product. Haven’t had it that long and the teflon is already peeling off the bottom.i still use it but have to line it with tinfoil.

I replaced my old West Bend with a new one that arrived May 27th. I washed it and put it away. I took it out today June 28th for the first time to use. It works great but I discovered the GLASS LID DOES NOT FIT. Either the metal portion of the crock pot is too small or the glass lid is too big. The glass lid will not/can’t sit securely on top (see pictures that show the lid will not sit securely on the crock pot). Is there anyway you can replace this with one that is not defective?
Thanks

This brand of slow cooker was purchased to replace one that was a wedding present we received in 1978. The non-stick coating in side the pot was beginning to wear away, figured it was time to replace it. This is the second one we have purchased for a friend’s Christmas gift 🎁. We are very happy with ours and quite sure our friend will be happy with theirs.

I really like this kitchen product. Easy to use, easy to clean. Able to go from fridge to cook or cook to fridge. Convenient carrier and travel lid as well.

This is the best slow cooker I have ever owned. You can select the exact temperature that you want. There is no better one out there.

It was exactly what we wanted and it works great

It’s great to make stews or soups or spaghetti sauce early in the day and let it cook and then simmer. It’s non stick so you don’t have to worry about it.

I love this slow cooker. I ordered it in blue. I love that you can sear your roast in it and then slow cook it in the same pot.
The first time I used it the inside got scratches on it from the utensils I used to stir. Yes I know you’re not supposed to use metal but I was very gentle and it still scratched.
Then later on I noticed a scratch on the blue paint on the outside. It’s very sad because I really love this item. Just have to get used to the scratches I guess.
I gave it four stars for the scratches.

I had a Westbend slow cooker for almost 20 years that I needed an upgrade so i purchased model 87906R. While the slow cooker is on it makes popping and cracking noises. I am affraid to leave it on when not home because of this. My old one, i would put dinner in when i left for work and dinner was ready when i got home. I do not feel comfortable doing that with this cooker because of the noise. I browned some meat on low with it on top of my stove and it made my burner red and the coating on the slow cooker has bubbles in it after only 5 times using it. I would not recommend it. I submitted a claim on the Westbend wedsite. I am still waiting on a response.
Update: i was contacted by Westbend, they ask for a picture of the cord cut and my shipping information. Once I sent that information i have not been contacted since and that has been 6 days. So now I had to submit another clain to find out my status.
UPDATE #2
After waiting 12 days i got on the Westbend website chat to ask my status of my claim. That afternoon i was contacted by phone and told they would send me a replacement unit but i had to pay $14.99 for shipping. So i paid the shipping and recieved my replacement unit. I took it out of the box and noiced the pot is rusty or the coating is not right. So i am back to contacting about the replacement. I would not recommend purchasing this cooker in any color.

I use this to transport food to a church fellowship where we contribute and share a meal. I can turn it on to heat cold food or keep hot food hot. The temperature control is Manual but works fine. The plastic lid for travel works well. There is a supplied case that is somewhat insulated for protection and travel that does a good job. The pot is good for at least 6 quarts of food. I have used the warmer to thaw and heat frozen food. It is pretty fast. It stores well in the case This is a good set up. I would buy it again.

Wife bought this because her old unit was getting scuffed up on the inside and getting to having foods stick. She has used this several times and likes it a lot; she’s even used the heating tray/griddle feature for pancakes, and likes that feature as well.
Would recommend.
