I installed this fan about a week ago on a ten year old computer that had a 120mm fan that died in service.
The circuit board had a 3 pin rather than the newer 4 pin setup. The fan has a 4 pin plug There is a “rail” that the plug slides upon. It turn out that the rails force the three pin plug to slide onto the correct 3 pins that are on the printed circuit board. Apparently the 4th pin is used to vary the fan speed depending on the air temperature. My fan (with three pins) runs quietly at full speed all the time. The rubber shock mounts make the usual fan noise much lower since the connection to the metal computer case is not the usual screws but is 4 snap-in rubber mounts.

Keeps my case cool. 6 Fans orderd 1 has a click noise. I can send it back but it’s evri dropbox, and I’m not going that rout with Evri………..Bunch of cowboys!

The ASUS XF120 fans really are one of the better, quieter fans in my collection of PC fans.
For a couple of weeks, I have been using a pair of these ASUS fans in comparison to other brands I collected in the mail; Noctua, Arctic, Corsair, etc. The initial goal was to find what most people are buying these fans for, air pressure and silence, and in the end, these ASUS XF120 do indeed deliver the results!
At first, I made my quick doubts, only purchasing them for the half-off sale that lasted a week or two, believing the ‘whisper-quiet’ sales pitch would be exaggerated. I am glad to be wrong, after setting these up after some comparisons, these do make some noticeable changes, good changes in air and noise. I put my doubts to rest and aim to use these as my final fan setup.
To those on the fence about these, I wouldn’t stress on buying these fans with doubts in mind as I have. These do make promises in performance, making my Celsius temps sustainably lower during gaming and cool idle temps too. In my experience and opinion, these make great exhaust fans for 120mm sizes, as the heat is rushing out at faster rates, keeping it cooler inside as air going in. They do great as intake as well, but I mix things up with another brand for now. I bought these at a lower cost than base price, being $15 individually, which is very well worth it. I hope you and everyone finds these at the similar price point!

Bought this to replace the front120mm fan on my GA35DX this fan is much quieter and pushes as much if not more air.

¡Me gustaron! 😀
Quizá el precio sin el descuento sea un tanto alto, sólo un poco más bajo que un Noctua y, aunque estos tienen una estupenda calidad, sigo considerando a Noctua como superior. En fin, con ese descuento, por supuesto comprarÃa más.

My computer is now quieter then laptops, but still pulling air flow and keeping all my parts as cool as before. Got mine on sale for 12.99! Wish I would have done a before and after video to show just what a difference in the noise level. Any future builds I will be tossing any fans that comes with cases and buying more of these to replace them, even if I have to pay 30 bucks each for them!

Bought this fan to throw in a NAS rack as the fan that came with the chassis started making noise. This fan is pretty quiet from my very brief testing.
One thing I noticed (because I have 80mm noctua fans on the exhaust side with their silicone mounting) is that the silicone mounting posts are a bit long for my taste, but its a tradeoff.
The Noctua Fans posts have a longer length of post sticking on the chassis-side (so sticking out the back for me) than the Asus posts do, BUT, the interior length of the Asus posts is significantly longer ( roughly 1 inch sticking past the fan, whereas the noctua post is maybe 1/4 inch )
The Noctua posts were also slightly stiffer from what I recall, making them a bit easier to install onto the fan, whereas these were like al-dente noodles.
overall, happy with the purchase though

These are great! I bought a pair to put on my CPU Cooler which is a Thermalright FS140. The stock fans were fine, but I wanted to try some higher quality fans to upgrade the cooling. Installation was… well, easy. They’re just fans and I already had a daisy chain for my other fans. The hard part was getting the metal clamps on the cooler, but that’s normal.
The fans are super quiet, even at max speed. My gaming temps dropped by around 10c. I used to get 80-90 degrees (don’t worry, it’s a 7900x which is designed to stay at 95c). With these fans, I’m getting around 70-80c! If it goes under a big load while loading a game, it did get into the 90s for a split second, but otherwise these fans keep my pc at a much cooler temp while gaming. They look great too! No rgb needed

I felt compelled to buy this fan to match the Asus radiator fans, for a push-pull fan configuration.

its does the job well. it blows where I tell it to blow and how hard I want to blow it. I can shove it any where it fits and gets power and this baby will still be blowin’. no regrets. this baby hasn’t stopped blowing since I got it. no complaint what so ever! its a dream come true.

Great value fans, used them as intake and exhaust, as long as they’re not running on full speed you barely notice them

They don’t make any noise, they also look good
