I really enjoy playing with this pad, it’s fast and smoother than the Skypad. Has a decent size so as to not be too big yet not that small really in that happy medium space. I play Apex, Aimlab, and KOVACS 3000 dpi .52 on the sens and tracking is a breeze especially given how smooth the pad is itself, my mouse skates don’t make a scratchy noise or anything. I think ASUS did a wonderful job coming into this space. If I had to make a comparison I’d say it was like the razer glass pad packaging was really top tier and a really solid product.

This is my first glass mousepad and I canโt confirm or deny if it is worth it to you or better than other branded glass mousepads on the market but I personally really like the look, feel, and the size of this mousepad. I was watching a ton of reviews of all the big brands out there and stumbled across this asus pad on amazon soon after release and it was on sale and is a bigger size than the one I was going to get from skypad. I think it works great with or without an arm sleeve as well but I have the skypad arm sleeve and I do like the combo. I also bought some new mouse glides for a smoother slide across the pad. This mousepad also seems to be a little slower than the skypad and pulsar, but supposedly has a little more control in the tradeoff so might be good for you if you want a little more control still on a glasspad.

I was at CES this year at the ASUS exhibit in LINK hotel and saw this mousepad. The Asus employee showing me around mentioned it casually and I assumed it was more of a “all show no go” typo mousepad for someone that is more into taking pics of their setup but not actually using it. But when i grabbed the new mouse they wanted me to try (Keris ultralight or something) i was blown away by the mousepad…not the mouse. When you hear glass mousepad you probably think negative things like “its cold” or “its slippery” … maybe even “it’ll break!” You have to FEEL it though. There is a special texture Asus put on the glass that makes it amazing. I don’t know how to explain it that great in words…but you know the “nails on chalkboard” sound that hurts your soul? This is the opposite. The sound and feel of it on your skin or even your fingernails is so nice. It’s almost like soft glass or something, even though that doesnt make sense. Just buy it and you’ll see what i mean.

This is actually on the cheaper side for glass mats, so I was a bit skeptical about the quality of the product.
For the price, it is well worth the price (Got it discounted for 70+).
Positives:
-The price is perfect and the build is high quality.
-After getting used to it, it is actually a lot better than a cloth mouse mat.
-Really easy to clean, so its always feeling like new.
-Noise produced by mouse movements is minimal.
Negatives:
-You have to use a sleeve or glove sleeve to be able to use it. Not easy to use with hands bare. If you lay your hand on top of the mouse mat to support your mouse movements it can stick to your skin (like glass, duh ).
– Any particle that falls on the mat, you will feel when you roll over it with your mouse.
Negatives aren’t really that negative, just a heads up on the nature of using this type of product. It is awkward at first but well worth it, at least for me.

Overall, when new, the product performs as advertised, a slick but not uncontrollable surface. Definitely need to clean it with water and microfiber cloth before and after gaming to ensure that no dust is on it. Otherwise, the pad loses its slickness and even with their sound reduction design, it still makes terrible scratching and you can tell something is stuck between the mouse and mouse pad. If using stock mouse feet, usually PTFE, be prepared to replace more often than usual as this mouse pad wears them down like crazy. Would recommend switching to a cloth mouse pad when not gaming to prevent excessive wear.
