This unit has enough features for most people. It’s quite fast, easy to set up. Has a pretty good design and it works very well. Price is excellent

I bought this router as a recommendation of my ISP for our city’s new Fiber. It is rated over 1 GB, which is what I’m getting from the city’s link. I have an ISP who I highly recommend, and they helped me troubleshoot it as far as they could, and the result is, the fiber is up (I tested it by removing the router from the network and plugging my laptop directly into the city/ISP’s device, and everything popped back to life.)

The jury is not still out on this one. I can’t recommend it to anyone. I go back to work tomorrow, and don’t have internet in my home office. Neither does my wife. I’ll have to run to Best Buy (Worst Experience Ever), or Walmart (they know nothing about anything), and pick something up that WILL work. I don’t trust the things Amazon has been doing, so am not sure that I’ll get anything back on this purchase. That’s just under $100.oo wasted for a product that lasted almost exactly 6 weeks.

I used to trust Netgear. It’s been a while since I bought anything of theirs. Not since I stopped being an I.T. Director and don’t need to purchase equipment for a company. But, my customers now are places everyone’s heard of, like Vanderbilt U., the U.S. Senate, the House or Reps; Apple, Oracle, Facebook. You know, tiny companies… I’m not a happy camper. It’s Sunday late, and nothing’s open, and it sucks to be me.
Oh wait, Walmart is open, and I got a TP Link Wi-Fi 6 router. It works fine, as long as I have Smart Connect turned on. With that off, the link is flaky. I tried that with the Netgear router, but it made very little difference.
So, to date (it’s been several days since writing the above), I was told by Amazon that I had to go to Netgear for help. They will require going through the standard troubleshooting steps, so I’ll have to take my internet down and plug this thing back in, then a Netgear engineer will access the router and check stuff out… I may get a new one out of this, and I’ll be okay with that.
No such luck. I reset it and it stayed up a couple of weeks, but now is completely dead. I’m never buying Netgear again. They charge monthly fees for basic services on the thing. I’ll never pay monthly for services like this. QoS, parental controls, etc SHOULD NOT BE SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES!

Once the router is configured it works great! Netgear recommends using a Nighthawk app to set it up, that didn’t work because it wouldn’t connect. I downloaded the app, plug my name, email and phone in and the app couldn’t connect to the router. Instead, I got a phone call from someone claiming to be the Tech Support. Needless to say, this person was useless and couldn’t address the issue. I tried again next day and received another phone call. This time the person was pushy and rude, and at some point told me to “stop wasting his time” and return the router. He also claimed that someone got ahold of my password and there already 30 devises connected to the router and that’s the limit. Then he offered to flash my router for additional money and when I refused and said that I’ll instead consult my friend who’s a network engineer, the “tech support” got mad and got offended that I didn’t trust him with his “expertise”. But again, the router once my buddy helped me to set it up properly, works like a charm.

Moved into a larger house and wanted to upgrade my router. Netgear or Belkin are my go to. Great price on this model and have been very pleased with its performance.

I was plesantly surprised when I replaced a 3-year old wi-fi router with this one. I now get full broadband speed and have about 3-times the wi-fi coverage. I had installed a wi-fi mesh extender which worked well but is now unneeded. This router has some great admin features too. I’m a retired IT Support Specialist so I really appreciate the attention to security in this router; for the price, I’m impressed.

Easy setup with the Netgear Nighthawk app. The Nighthawk app comes with a free 30 day trial for Armor Security. I had to switch this off because it blocked my sump pump app from connecting, said “security threat “. Even when I chose to allow access, Armor would still block the signal. Anyway, after 30 day trial I was not going to purchase it. Seems to broadcast a strong signal. I’d recommend.

After first couple weeks I don’t have any problems with it, range is very good, speed and it handles about 15 devices with no issues at all, it’ll take more if I wanted. App is very intuitive, easy to use and customizable, sometimes they want to sell you some addons but whatever. Definitely would recommend it
