Just got this machine in today. Never had a wire coil binding machine before. I’m tired of using pre-made planners and being inconvenienced to use office supply stores to bind custom documents.
This machine seems reasonably intuitive to use and follow some simple directions as other reviewers have noticed. And as the other reviewer noticed, the 3mm setting on the left seems to be best for the size of coil spines included.
My only issue is that this machine punches 34 holes. Anticipating that the included 3/8″ coils would be on the small side, I ordered some 1/2″ coils believing that they ought to be compatible. However, those coil spines are for 32 holes, not 34. It seems that most coil spines to be purchased are for 32 holes, not 34. There’s a couple here on Amazon, but not many
This is the primary reason I’m rating it 4-stars. However, I have returned it because it can be far more difficult (and therefore more expensive) to find more compatible wire spines for this machine. I now know that 32 holes seems to be the standard and now I know what to look for.
This is a great machine. Too bad it isn’t more compatible.

I bought this binding machine as recommended by a friend who also had the same one. It works very well and is easy to use. It came with 100 3/8” coil wires and I ordered another 100 in the next size as well. They work very easily and this machine makes binding books a breeze.

I purchased this machine in June. It worked fine for the first round of books (about 30). When I picked it up 2 months later to do another batch of books, I noticed that the punch margin was inconsistent and I damaged too many books. We took it apart to see what was going on and sure enough the back stop past the punches had broken. We put it back together (not easy or intended by the manufacturer, I am sure). I adjusted my process by relying on my eyeballs to align everything before punching and was able to finish my project. It is January, and I am halfway through another project of 50 books and the punch arm will not operate. The machine looks and feels sturdy but when you get into the guts of it some important parts are plastic. I have to replace the machine now and will be choosing a different manufacturer in hopes of getting a product that will last and allow me to produce my projects in a reliable way. I was unsure that I was going to use a binding machine enough to justify my original purchase so I opted for a lower cost model. Now I am hoping I can find one that helps me level-up.

As a Sp Ed teacher, I like to put together alot of adpated books for my students…and noe binding laminated pages is a game changer! Making resources last longer. I used print pages, use sheet protectors, then use a binder ring to hold my adapted books together. I’m excited to bind my math and ela activity pages into sturdy laminated binded and books.

Materials are so fragile

I had tried a different machine and did not like it. It was hard to use and the coils were plastic after sending it back. I saw this one and decided to spend more money to get a better quality machine and I was not disappointed. I like the fact that there’s different size coils available, because not every item that I am bonding is the same size. This was very easy to set up, very easy to use, and I had no issues with the coil in the binding process. I highly recommend this machine.

I really needed a good priced binding machine and this one does the job. It’s very user friendly and it sturdy to get the job done! Worth every penny in my opinion because it’s versatile in different sizes of binding. Fantastic beginner binding machine for me

Buyer Beware! If you have not done your research, this machine is a 3:1 pitch machine which means it will only work with 3:1 Pitch spines (the pitch is the space between the rings). If you are needing 34 hole spines, they will cost you more than the machine. If you can use 32 or shorter, make sure you are getting the correct “Pitch” or they will not work. Other than that, this machine works great and is easy to use.
