We recently purchased a boat and decided to buy the G-Force based on the reviews here. I have to say we have been very pleased. It will easily fit 3 adults, but we have used it mostly with 1-2 people. After a few months of use this summer, it still looks in good condition. A few of our riders have commented that they feel much more secure on this type of tube than traditional tubes with the hole in the middle.
The tip about submarining on take-off was very helpful. Our riders have also suggested spreading out your legs helps to keep it more stable around turns when the water is choppy.
Only annoyance is that the inflation valve on the inner tube doesn’t line up with the hole on the outer covering once it is inflated.
Other items we paired with this –
Tow rope:Â
Kwik Tek Airhead 4 Rider Tube Rope
Air Pump:Â
Kwik Tek Airhead Hi Pressure Air Pump with Press Release (120-Volt)
Rope has worked well, but started to fray a little. Air pump is great and helpful for deflating the tube so it stores folded up.

Been out 4 times this summer using this tube. Overall pretty happy with it! Material is thick so it should last!

I spent a week last summer towing 4 teenagers at a time with a 90hp outboard (swapped prop from 17p to 15p), a booster ball and the G-Force 4 person towable. They had a blast! I am a firm believer that the booster ball is a key consideration with this size of towable, as the G-force did not submarine even once.
The tube’s exterior is durable and the kids all liked the handholds’ material, position and size. I found that every day they rode I needed to add a bit of air before heading out to firm it up, but they were riding for 2+ hours at a stretch, so the tube took plenty of impact during rides. No complaints with air tightness!
The youngest rider (11) appreciated the inflatable edge bits to help keep her outer leg from not slipping off. I’m so happy with the G-Force 4 person, that I’ll be buying the smallest version for towing 1 or 2 adults at higher speeds

Great fun, inflated it and strapped it to the roof of my center console boat. Had a fun few hours with it, but my riders complained of how hard it was to hold on, their arms were very tired and only wanted to go on a single ride. Was I going too fast, turning too sharply? Probably. I think I shoulda bought the seated type of towable, which I debated on… younger/stronger people would have an easier time with this type of flat float, but for our middle age group, it was fun but not spectacular.

We were previously using a round tube but the handle ripped and so I got this one and it’s so much more spacious for each rider, they don’t have to grab across one another and it’s super durable and well made. So happy with this find!

Mucha diversión y y duro dos veranos. Al principio pensé que iba a ser como todas las balsas acuáticas (una temporada y a la basura) pero está ya duro dos temporadas sin problemas.

Update 9 June 2014:
It’s season 3 for this tube and it’s been working great. I raised my rating to 5 stars as we’ve had no problems once we figured out how to position to avoid submarining and we’ve had a ton of fun. I would buy this tube again.
UPDATE 6 August, 2012:
Have used this tube several more days for multiple hours each time. All my previous comments still apply. We’re having a blast with this tube.
Original Review:
I bought this tube last week and used it last weekend. So, disclaimer… I’ve only used it a couple of days on a lake.
I would give this tube 5 stars if it didn’t submarine a few times.
Yes, I found that this tube would occasionally submarine if the people on it were not positioned well. But, with just a few such incidents, we used this tube for hours over two days and had great success. We had kids as small as 75 lbs up to 150 lbs. and it worked well 95% of our runs.
I find the exterior skin to be a good quality, thick nylon, and the inner bladder appears to be a good quality, thick, rubberized plastic.
Sizing is a lot like rafts. That is, they say it holds 3 persons, but that’s true only if they’re small or medium sized. For me, three kids worked as did two larger kids (teenagers roughly equivalent to adults). You’d have a tough time using this tube with three adults. If you want to haul a large number of and/or larger people, look at bigger tubes. This one is, from what I’ve seen, a medium-sized tube.
Side note: Amazon suggested various tow ropes to purchase with my tube. I did buy the Kwik Tek Airhead 4 Rider Tube Rope (
Kwik Tek Airhead 4 Rider Tube Rope
). Amazon also suggested I buy some additional connection components. I did not need these. My boat has a quick connect hook and this tube has a quick connect. The rope is looped at both ends and connected to the boat and tube directly. No need for additional connecting components.
Conclusion: After one use I am pleased. I would recommend this tube to others. I would buy it again. I will be using this tube several times more this summer, so if you see no update to this review, then I’m still happy and my conclusions are still valid.

Seems sturdy. Carried 225 lbs easily.

This tube is easy to get on and off and good for 3 children.

The product is pricy but these water sport toys don’t come cheap. I was hesitant at first with this product, as it was flat and was thinking the kids might be falling off a lot. And was also hesitant about the amount of space. To my surprise as long as you inflate it fully (it has to be rock solid), it is a fun ride and cake take up to three even though it’s meant for two. Love it., most of all the kids love it.
