I think this works OK. It reads pretty quickly, but I will say that the temperature readings are usually different from ear to ear. My child had a fever (we think?) the other day, one ear would read 99.4, the other would read 101.2 – so quite a difference. The screen is plenty bright. I think it’s fine for the money, but if you’re truly afraid of a fever, especially in an infant, you may want something more reliable.

I recently purchased this ear thermometer when my kids had some type of virus and wouldn’t sit still for the typical thermometer. The forehead thermometer was sometimes inaccurate for trying to keep track of when the kids had a true fever; and I must say, this product has exceeded my expectations.
The thermometer is incredibly easy to use and gives quick and accurate readings. The fact that it has settings for three different age groups is a game-changer. It allows for more accurate temperature readings based on the age of the person, which is especially important when monitoring the health of my little ones.
The design is sleek and compact, making it easy to handle and carry around, whether it’s for a quick check-up at home or during our family trips. The display is clear and easy to read, and it even has a color-coded fever guidance which helps to understand the readings at a glance.

Es misst die Temperatur, innerhalb des Toleranzbereichs, genau. Ich habe es mit einem Thermometer unter dem Arm verglichen, stimmt überein.
Eine Kurzanleitung in Deutsch und Englisch liegt bei, auch eine ausführliche Anleitung. Die Kurzanleitung ist bebildert, man muss für die korrekte Anwendung noch nicht mal lesen können.

We really love the Braun thermoscan, but wanted an extra in ear thermometer so we could have one up in the bedrooms and one downstairs. This is a great alternative. Its accuracy is relatively similar to the Thermoscan (see photos) and uses the same hygienic filters which is super convenient when you need to purchase more. In some ways it is better in comparison. It is backlit which really helps at night with sick children. It has several additional features like memory, age settings, and room/ambient air mode.
One small thing we miss is the storage mount that the thermoscan comes with. It’s convenient to be able to hold the filter caps together with the device. This does come with a velvet bag, which works fine, but isn’t as elegant.

I ended up rushing my son to the hospital because the reading was 106.4, then 106.2. When we got there it was 101. I later checked everyone’s temperature versus an oral thermometer and it was a very big difference between readings. I have contacted the manufacturer and we have been told we would receive a replacement. Waiting.

Easy Quickstart instructions plus more detailed instruction manual. I appreciate the fact that the beep is not very loud. I am using this as a thermometer for my pets and it works great.
