The top bed doesn’t have any hard support and is a bit more like a hammock, which was a surprise.
But my cats who tend to be picky and prefer the Amazon boxes over the nice fluffy beds I buy them immediately came up and got in this bed. They even both hang out together, one on each layer.
I would be concerned about a heavier cat using the top layer, so maybe switch the hard panel to the top instead of the bottom as intended.
The sturdiness is… you get what you pay for.
It’s not peak craftsmanship, but considering my cats might eventually wreck it anyway, it’s not that bad. I don’t think the ball will last long with them, but it’s cute and keeps them entertained.

So, I barely had time to set this up before my Tuxy ran into it and claimed this “fancy box” as hers. It’s a great little cat house and a good buy. Inside is very soft and warm, which is comforting for her joints as she’s a little senior. The house is sturdy so the top cushion feels secure and supportive.
…..I haven’t seen my cat since. lol I miss her.

We have a one year old calico cat who has already picked her favorite napping and hangout spots (like sunny window sills and tops of bookshelves) so when we assembled this and showed it to her she looked at us like, “what do you expect me to do?” She’s a highly intelligent animal but like most cats, she doesn’t like to do things unless it’s her idea. So I had to put some treats in the house and call to her to get her in it. She went in, ate them, sat for a couple minutes and then hopped out. It’s soft, sturdy and a good idea but we have yet to see how much she’ll use it. Might help to introduce this to a cat when you first get the cat. But I’ll update the review overtime. Still it’s a clever design and worth buying.

Seems to be made with decent material. It looks and works as expected. It would certainly fit a large cat. It collapses for easy storage if you don’t want it out all the time. The scratchy thing on the side isn’t the greatest. It’s fairly small and my cat wasn’t interested in using it at all. Doesn’t bother me though, I got it for her to have a place to nap!

The hideout is perfect for my cat and he loves to hangout top and play with the hanging ball. The gray color makes it less of an eyesore but does stain rather easily. I like the way the inserts are reversible from smooth to furry. Assembly was easy and it just fold/pops open and the hard inserts keep it from collapsing. It has never seemed unstable and has held up for my 15lb cat climbing on top and inside. I will say that the scratcher on the side is a nice touch but my cat has never used this aspect of the hideout. The covered portion is deep and provides a good comfort space! I would totally recommend this as a kitty hideout for any cat household!

My thirteen year old cat had seemed distressed since the death of his life-long companion and brother. He immediately explored this cat shelter and stretched out on the platform. He has stopped his agitated prowling and retreats to the enclosed area for peaceful naps. I found the cat chamber easy to assemble and sturdier than expected.

The size is absolutely perfect for my cat. The opening is ideal for her to feel like she’s hiding. The material is soft and durable. It was super easy to put together. I am very happy with this product
Yes, I Am This Grumpy! –
I’ve put this on my screened patio so I’m not sure how long it will hold up but it opens up, nothing to actually assemble, and my cat walked right in and lay down. That’s high praise in my mind! It seems sturdy enough I think it’s fabric covered cardboard and the top is fluffy and soft. I didn’t put the fluffy liner inside because it’s really hot out but it’s nice.
