My vet recommended Wellness among other examples of high quality food for my cats. I tried with several, but they chose Wellness. They love all the tastes, especially tuna and chicken. I add warm water to their bowls and they drink it all to get to the food – this way I ensure they drink at least half a glass with breakfast and half with dinner, which is pretty good for cats. I am very happy with Wellness, I receive several boxes of cans every 2 months and the kitties devour everything.

Based on various research and articles comparing cat foods, Wellness is one of the better cat foods in the market. My 10 year old DMH Calico cat can be finicky at times when it comes to her meals. She always enjoys the sliced Chicken entrée which includes real chicken, chicken broth and a thick gravy. I always mix this food with a little warm water which increases the smell of the chicken and her appetite. Wellness cat foods are “grain free” so the protein in the product comes from non-grain sources. This cat food does not contain meal by-products, corn, wheat, soy, artificial preservatives, flavors and colors. This cat food helps keep my cat happy from a digestive perspective and my vet bills lower! Her coat is always very shiny and she rarely has any hairball issues. The 3oz cat food is generally more expensive through the big pet store chains however the price on amazon is quite competitive and more affordable. Wellness is available for both cats and dogs. I would definitely recommend this product to other pet owners.

My cats love this, specifically the sliced version. They don’t seem to like the other textures as much.
It’s a bit expensive but nice to know you’re feeding your pets decent food. And the smell is pretty good, definitely one of the best cat wet foods I’ve smelled

It’s what my cat likes, usually, although sometimes he doesn’t think so; others have noted some inconsistency. I have ordered this over 40 times and usually it’s ok but sometimes Amazon ships the wrong flavor. Salmon is not chicken; perhaps the robots need to be re-programmed because to err is human. Just be aware that if the robots ship the wrong flavor you won’t be able to send it back or get a refund. It’s in the fine print in the returns section, although the order section says otherwise. So unless you want to risk getting stuck with $40 of the wrong flavor cat food, you might want to check other sources because almost all of them take returns, especially when their robots make mistakes!

The cat loves it. Grain free is better for the dogs. Dogs don’t eat corn.

My cats love it, and they are super finicky, so the chicken slices are the only wet food I’ve fed them for over a decade. Frankly it tastes pretty good to me too. I’d eat it in an apocalypse or a snowstorm.
So why did I give this two stars? And why am I cancelling my subscription? Amazon keeps sending me the wrong flavors, over and over and over and over again, to the point where I’m just buying the food in stores to make sure I don’t run out.
Is that Wellness’ responsibility? I have no idea. All I know is that for the last few years I’ve developed a stack of Wellness cat food, which my local pet shelter is all too happy to take.
I suppose I shouldn’t complain huh? Amazon is feeding my local shelter, sounds like a win right?
Just would be nice to get the correct order, maybe once in a while?

Another canned cat food that my cats with allergies can eat. My reviews are pretty similar between all these wellness can foods. My cats (between them all) are allergic to corn, wheat, soy, possibly by products and rice. So that really limits what you can feed them. This food has none of those. The cats also enjoy it.

Wellness, what happened to this food? Our cat used to devour the sliced chicken. This has been her go-to food for a long time. Now it smells rotten and our cat won’t touch it. Something changed beginning with the cans with an expiration in the fall of 2024. We picked up cans from various stores in the area and had the same experience — all with a fall 2024 expiration date. Really bad smell and gray-ish color.
Just to make sure this wasn’t a one-off problem, we gave our some Wellness sliced chicken from an earlier batch (pink in color and smells like chicken should), and she loved it. Clearly, this is an issue with any cans with an expiration after summer 2024.
We contacted Wellness and they sent us coupons, but that hardly solves the problem, and they were unwilling to admit that anything had changed with their sourcing, recipe, or production quality. Really a shame.

good food, a bit pricey though…. speedy delivery

My cats really like the Wellness chicken sliced and morsels, but what I received was the pate. Unless the labels on the cans that I received are incorrect, I didn’t receive what I thought I was ordering. Even after I requested a replacement, I received the wrong item. I will have to see if the cats will eat this, but from past experience, the pate is not their favorite form of food. Thanks, but I will not be ordering this online through Amazon again. I’ll buy it at local stores instead.

Great, healthy ingredients, and my kitties like the sliced form.( They won’t touch the pate and only reluctantly eat the gravies and morsels). I like the aluminum cans, easy to handle, no BPA and get cash from scrap metal. The price skyrocketed in recent years.

I keep getting few cans severely dented in. Product is good though. Cat likes it. But I keep throwing away a couple cans and this product is expensive.
