Super cute. Delivery was quick. Box is foldable, so if you’re looking for something extra sturdy this is probably not for you. With that said, box itself seems pretty well made and sturdy (as long as you’re not sitting on top of it). Decided on this box Because my baby is learning to open things and stand, so it’s something where the lid won’t smash his hands when he closes it.

I got this as a baby shower gift for my DIL. I had to ship all my gifts (I was flying out), and it was wonderful to find a cute and sturdy box that could nevertheless be folded down to ship. (I had wrapped & smaller items to go inside.)
I took it out to see it & put together, and it was perfect. This is not one of those huge, heavy, uber-sturdy boxes. It’s made of a sort of canvas material, which is just fine for storing baby-level toys and handy for items mom/dad might need in the nursery. It’s got a harder panel to keep it together.
It was also a hit at the shower. Everybody loved the critter on the front.

I was worried that this wouldn’t be sturdy enough since my boys like to go in and out of boxes rather than actually use them as storage. But so far so good, and when I finally can throw in all of my LO’s stuffed animals in, it’s the perfect size. We had always planned to use it for soft toys so this works great. Also the bear design is nice. Subtle, cute and neutral, easy to fit in most themes and grow with the kids.

I ordered two of these to use in the play spaces at home (formerly known as the living room and family room). We love the 3 Sprouts items – so cute without being super babyish. The quality of this toy chest is pretty good, but there is a major flaw that I had to address on my own. The lid falls right inside the chest if there aren’t things piled up to the top. Our toy chest isn’t packed full (yet), and as hard as we tried, we could not get the lid to stop falling inside the chest. There needs to be a toggle, velcro or some sort of tie to keep it shut. I bought my own toggle and sewed it on, and it works great. See attached picture. It was tricky to sew on, since there is thick cardboard underneath the fabric. I had to take a tiny nail and pierce through the cardboard to line up with all of the holes where the toggle attached. I realize this was my own doing, but it was necessary to help keep our sanity – that floppy lid was driving us mad!
Our kids aren’t old enough to be attacking the toy chest like maniacs, but I realize this is a soft-sided item and will only withstand a certain amount of abuse. We’ll do our best to keep them from beating it up too badly, and hope that these will last us for years to come! You obviously can’t stuff 3x the amount of toys that should fit and expect it to keep its shape (like the one reviewer did – LOL!), but this holds a good amount of toys. And, it’s inexpensive enough, you can buy two for overflow if needed!

Wanted a toy chest but nothing heavy that I would then have to secure to the wall. Design is beautiful and it’s not too big. Seems to fit a lot and helps the clutter. I can see that if someone fell into one of the sides, might distort the shape because it’s not a solid storage. Easy to set up. Best to keep it against a wall. Wouldn’t work standing without support because it might distort easily.

This isn’t my first experience with this brand. I’ve purchased 3 different bags, a cube container and this toy box. I absolutely love them! They are very durable and absolutely adorable! They’re even cuter in person. Now, on to the toy chest. I just purchased this for my 1 year old for Christmas. I have 4 kids so we’ve definitely had our share of toy boxes. We had several that were wooden and the lids were a huge problem. They were always coming down on their heads or smashing little fingers. The lids ended up broken because the kids were scared of them after a couple of times of being whacked so they would jump back and let the lid the lids free fall. We have tried plastic without success, even settling for a rubbermaid tote for a while. Kids don’t gently place their toys in the box, or at least mine don’t. Some of the heavier toys were dropped or launched in a few too many times and the plastic ended up cracked. This toy box seems to have solved those issues for us. It’s a canvas fabric, so the lid isn’t going to do any damage if it comes down on top of the littles and they certainly aren’t going to crack it. It’s a really nice size and it’s stouter than I thought it would be. It’s made like the cube containers that fold up and you open them to put the stiff piece in the bottom, if you know what I’m referring to. I’ve seen my little guy pull up to it as well as lean waaayyyyy in over the side to get the toy he’s after and we haven’t had any trouble with it. I’ve seen several reviews complaining that the lid doesn’t have velcro so there’s no way to hold it down when it’s really full. I think you could easily add a piece of velcro if you wanted to but I honestly don’t understand the issue. It doesn’t matter whether a container is made of wood, plastic, fabric or steel…..if it’s too full, the lid doesn’t go on. That’s just how stuff works. If you try to cram the lid down on this when it’s overflowing, the sides are going to bulge so you won’t accomplish much. This isn’t a deal breaker for me. If it gets a little too full (as toy boxes tend to do), I will just let the lid stick up a little. At least it will all be contained. If it gets way too full, I’ll invest in a second one. Let’s face it, these are inexpensive in the land of toy boxes. Up until Christmas morning, we had been using a large cardboard box to hold all of the treasures. A couple of things to note in my photos……..it appears kind of white in the picture thanks to my flash. In reality, it’s more of the natural tan canvas color. Also, in one picture, I put his ride on giraffe inside so you could get an idea of the size. I’m happy and I highly recommend.
