Easy to breathe in and out while using filters of all kinds.
Weight, balance, seal and associated comfort is excellent. (Soft rubber seal, hard plastic frame – Size properly). Still able to yell without compromising seal which is important around loud machines and when using ear protection.
Straps (Grey fabric, slight stretch) don’t get in the way of eye or ear protection and lay flat and just outside my eyeline (results may vary). In normal situations I find myself pulling the top strap down and letting the mask hang rather than using the included quick release mechanism (taking extended breaks). However the function of the mechanism shines in the niche situation when you are all kitted up and your ear pro and/or eye pro are covering the straps and you just need to pop your mask off for a quick second. As the price difference is negligible, I would definitely spring for this model over the one without the quick release, however don’t think that you will be using it very often.
The connectors (plastic) on the straps do feel a bit flimsy and would expect them to be the first point of failure, however they are holding up well so far and the neck connector has seen much use but despite being a basic friction lock connector, it still looks/functions as new.
Good value purchase so far, I hope/expect to see much more use from this respirator as it is now a regular part of my daily use kit

Bought this to wear while refinishing a shower. The product had a terrible smell that made me light headed. Put this on and no more smell or issues! Fairly comfortable. Need to buy the recommended filters Excellent product and recommend!

Super comfortable mask. Fits well with a hat, fits with my goggles or glasses, no fogging. Breathes easy. Quick release feature is great for when you want to quickly step away, you can pull it down enough to get a drink. I use off brand p100 disc filters but if I needed more protection from chemical vapors I’d get those cartridge filters.
I got a large, pretty sure that’s the way to go for most adults?

Works great. Well made and comfortable. I used it while sanding some woods and it is comfortable, the adjustments stay in place, and it allows for plenty of air and not give you a feeling of lack of air or blocked air passages. Light weight and tight fitting with the adjustments and easy to put on and take off.

Along with the force 8 mask respirator both do the job no smells, no leaks,air tight seal just wanted to get a drink with out removing the whole mask and walk away from the contaminated area to communicate.

Over the years I’ve used a variety of masks and respirators. This is one of the more comfortable ones. The silicone face pad is soft and flexible enough to seal well without being too tight, even with a beard. It works well with glasses too, with no fogging. The quick release feature allows you to take a drink without completely removing the mask.
If you’re in doubt about the sizing, I’m not a particulary large human, and the large size is perfect. I suspect that the medium would have been too small.

I got this primarily to handle spray painting, but I’ve also used it for many other things. Pool chemicals, for example. I no longer have to hold my breath when I open the pool shock container, and my wife can use bleach in the bathroom without me worrying.
The quick-release function is awesome, and the main reason I selected this one. It functions flawlessly and a flip of your finger releases the tension enough that the mask releases from your face and hangs free a couple of inches down. When you want to put it back on you’ll need both hands, but it’s a simple matter of placing it back and flipping the latch back.
The mask itself is more comfortable than my old gas mask, and although it’s only half-face it seals just as well. The silicone feels good and fits well on my average sized head and face.
It’s easy to change filters, although the first time I thought I might break a tab off. Once you get over the small bit of resistance filter installs take, you won’t think about it again. The mask is very sturdy and well built, as you would expect from 3M.
The respirator works with any 3M or 3M style filters, but my favorite accessories are 3M part numbers 501 and 603. You can use these parts together with 5P71 cotton filters, or just pop the 501/5P71 combo over your 6000 series cartridge for a pre-filter. Any way you use it, this is a great mask.
I have no regrets with this respirator. Great buy.
