50 Strong 2-Pack Bike Water Bottle Holder

These are great strong and inexpensive cages. Much more durable than others at a similar price, just seem to be a tougher type of plastic and made thicker. I’ve had 2 already for a year or more and the ones I just bought are extras for new bikes – not replacements as they just don’t break.
Two things that particularly work for me:
1. They are a little tighter/smaller diameter than some cages, so they will hold a standard water or soda bottle ok, whereas a lot of cages they will fall out. It also helps that the tab at the bottom of the cage sticks out further than most cages so even an undersized bottle won’t fall through. I most often carry a standard 500ml/16.9oz water bottle with a thin neoprene coozie on, and they fit great. The cages also have enough flex to take a larger soda or gatoraid bottle, plus of course a bike water bottle.
2. The mounting holes are lower in the cage than many others. The lower hole is just under an inch from the bottom of the cage. This works great on my folding bikes, as it keeps the cage higher up the frame tube and it isn’t in the way of the folding mechanism. On another bike I have it keeps the bottle from fouling the chainring. A previous cage sat just low enough so that if you put a larger bottle in the cage it would expand just enough to rub on the chain. Previous cages sit about an inch lower than these just due to the location of the mounting holes in the cage.
Overall nice quality and priced right.

Easy to install, light weight, good bottle grip, and so far appear to be quite durable.

These cages are great! I cut the upper tab off and use them to carry 32oz Nalgene bottles on my bike. They flex enough to fit the bigger bottles and hold them very securely on all but the roughest off roading. There’s enough room between the middle of the cage and the frame to add a strap if you’d like, but I’ve never needed it. The cages don’t seem to stretch out, either; they still hold regular size water bottles just fine. My bottles do get very scratched up using them, but that’s from the dust and grit that accumulates from riding on crushed limestone rail trails. I did need to add a bracket to provide enough clearance between the cages on my bike to run the bigger bottles; for this I used the Topeak alt position cage mount to move the downtube cage about 1″ further away from the cranks. Now I have plenty of room to carry two full liters of water on my bike with no “plastic tea” flavor common with regular sports bottles. If I ever break one, they are cheap to replace. I might run into problems in colder temps, but I’m not planning on riding when it’s that cold out!

*Edit: 9 months later with use in a wide range of temperatures and these cages are still going strong. I’m very happy with them.

The price is right and they are lightweight. They seem sturdy but time will tell. They hold bottles securely. Nice and easy to pull out bottles and to insert back in these holders.
