WeFone 4K GPS Drone with Camera

 What a huge improvement in overall functionality and performance from the lower cost drones. This drone works great, but here are some key points to achieve great results.
There is a quick start-up guild, it’s straight forward but a few missing points.
This is what I did after many attempts to get it all figured out.
First, I turn on the remote and then the drone. Then move the left stick down and up to pair the drone to remote. Go to phone setting and turn on airplane mode and then go to Wi-Fi and connect to the drone Wi-Fi (Wefone). Once completed go ahead and calibrate the drone both horizontal and vertical as instructions state. Once the drone lights are solid dark green the GPS is set and the drone is ready, lastly calibrate the gyro by pushing both sticks to bottom right corner, lights on drone will flash and go back to solid green. The lights must be Dark Solid Green.
Now the software, once you open the software do yourself a favor and go to the maintenance menu, press the button on top right of the app. Update the software. Once updated you will have another version of the software (HS). Use this software instead, has all the features.
At this point you may need to start all over to get all in line.. Trust me, the more you do this, the easier it becomes and soon can all be done in less than a minute.
When you open the software, you can do the calibration again if you want but if already done and dark green lights steady, you’re ready to go. Just skip and continue on.
If you’re a beginner, you can set up the drone for beginner mode and set max distance and height. You can also set these parameters in normal mode as well. I’ve set mine to 500′ for both.
When ready to take off and all is done correctly the top bar on the app will be green for GPS mode.
Press the take-off button and the drone will spool up and be ready for your commands. take-off and go. This drone is very stable, just about flies itself. One big difference I noticed is I can’t do quick steep turns, it’s not a race drone but a very stable drone good for videos and pictures.
Both the videos and pictures are outstanding, the quality is great and because the drone is so stable, you can concentrate on getting the picture you want and not spending all your concentration of flying. When I’m up 100′ or so, I don’t think about flying much, I’m looking at the screen and moving the drone and camera to what I want. I’ve included a few of my first pictures and a video. So, when you’re very far away and the sun is shining right at my face, I like to just hit the home button and wait for the drone to arrive back, and it always does within a couple feet. This thing is awesome once you get used to it and start using all the features it offers. I’m now using the follow me, way points and circle. Getting to VR soon.
Oh yes, remember there is a 50%-100% setting, to engage press the right joystick straight down, not moving down. A couple last points, the kit comes with 2 batteries each giving about 25min flight time.
This drone can be flown in medium winds, just make sure to set to 100% and the remote is also rechargeable, nice.. So much more I could go into, but wanted to help others understand what this drone can do and how best to achieve the best results. For under $200, a suburb drone. Another really impressive point is I was able to reach tech support on a Saturday for help with GPS! Hope this info helps you have fun with your new drone.
