A lot of the time with hubs like these, the advertised ‘fast’ ports can be a bit misleading – however, having used this and tested it for a bit, they are all as advertised. The USB-Cs are good, high speed ports and the HDMI functions well – no noticeable flickering or picture issues so far. Completely plug and play with my Windows 11 laptop, it works a treat, is nice and compact so fits in my laptop bag no problem and looks like a quality piece of kit too. Yes, there are slightly cheaper options out there, but this is a quality product that’s worth the asking price.

I can’t believe this item was only $20 on sale! I typically only write reviews when something is either remarkably good or bad. This item falls into the former category. This little hub is fantastic!! Replaces a cheaply made Anker USB A hub that often would lose connection with my DAC. Cheap garbage. This Acer hub is METAL!! I use wired internet as I have my Wi-Fi radios turned off on my router, so I was hoping I could use this to free up one of my USB C ports on my laptop. I have an ultra wide LG monitor with USB C connection, so I needed a device that could handle:

    1. A USB C port that could handle at least 90W of juice for the monitor
    2. USB 3.1 port to handle and power my DAC
    3. My USB C to Ethernet dongle where I have 1GB internet.
    4. My wireless mouse/keyboard USB

And I was hoping to be able to find a device with an SD slot that didn’t cost $100, as I’m constantly updating my two Extreme Pro SanDisk SDs for high resolution music to play in my car. BOOM!! IT DOES THAT TOO!!

Not only does this device accomplish ALL of those things, but it does them all effortlessly!!

Sometimes a product exceeds your expectations and does it at a price that doesn’t seem to make sense… in a good way.

This hub is a god send… and now I have not one but TWO free HDMI ports, AND a vacant Thunderbolt 3 port!!

BUY THIS… thank me later!! Thank you for making this, Acer!!

Picked this up for using with my phone and it has been absolutely brilliant.

I was immediately impressed by the build quality. The body of the hub is made of a metal with absolutely no give or flex in it so there’s no risk of accidentally breaking this transporting it around (like some cheaper plastic hubs out there).

There is a handy small blue LED indicator to show that it is receiving power.

Now for my testing I connected this to my S24 Ultra:
    – I was able to connect a keyboard and mouse to the two USB-A ports and both performed exactly as expected.
    – The USB-C passthrough port worked for charging my phone but would not give Samsung’s fast charging speeds despite using the proper charger. This was expected so not really a negative.
    – I then removed the keyboard and connected my watch charger and was able to charge my watch.
    – As my phone doesn’t support expandable memory, I was able to plug in my micro SD card to this hub and transfer my photos and videos onto it, freeing space up on my phone.
    – The HDMI port also allowed me to connect this to the TV which then allowed me to play videos/stream on the TV.

I would definitely recommend this hub!

I got this Acer 7 in 1 USB C hub for my 14-inch Acer laptop, it has been very useful for connecting other external devices.
I have also used the 4K HDMI port on this hub to connected a HDMI cable to my monitor, this worked perfectly with my laptop and Oppo mobile. I did find that my mobile phono was getting warm when connected this method, and the battery was draining fairly quickly.

There is a decent assortment of ports on this portable hub. On the side is 2 USB A 3.1 ports, 2 USB C ports, 1 SD and 1 Micro SD slot, and a HDMI port on the end. 1 of the USB C ports is rated for 100W charging, which is why the cable is so thick. The HDMI port has an output of up to 4K@30Hz, shame it’s not rated to 4K@60Hz.

Build quality of this Acer hub is very good, it’s constructed of part white plastic wrapped in an aluminium shell. The white USB C connecting cable is thick, and the USB C plug is capped for protection.

Overall, this USB C 7 in 1 hub is a good quality and versatile.
I hope you find my review helpful

I also have a similar Belkin model that was more expensive. The Acer feels nice, seems to run cooler, and has faster USB 3.0 transfer speeds so far. I also like the USB C connection with the computer better. It “clicks” in more firmly than the Belkin, which seemed to wiggle loose frequently. I’m impressed. Will update if anything changes after initial use.

The pink is pretty and the device is functional. I bought this because one of the C ports on my work laptop stopped functioning. I have to use a C connector yubi key, which is hard to pull out of the laptop, so I needed this adapter to allow me to have the yubi key and external monitor (also with a C connector) plugged in at the same time at work. One of the C ports on this moves data and charges. The other C port charges. The HDMI also worked for an external monitor, allowing me to use my external monitor at home with my work laptop. The HDMI did not work for connecting the external monitor at home to my personal laptop. I think this is because the C port on my personal laptop does not move data, it probably only allows for an external drive or mic. All in all, I am pretty satisfied with this product.

Purchased this item to replace another USB hub which was suffering from intermittent connection failures.

The Acer USB C Hub, 7 in 1 USB C to HDMI Splitter is about the same size and has similar features to the one being replaced and has been working without any major issues for a couple of months. I use the power delivery port to connect to my Lenovo laptop and have an external 27″ Acer S271HL HDMI monitor connected to the appropriate port. The hub also connects to my Logitech C920 HDPro webcam for video conferencing and a 512GB SD card which I use to backup data from my laptop, This works well, and gives me a stable and sharp second display for my laptop. The HDMI connection also carries the audio output to my external 3-way speakers so that works well too.

My only issue is that if I close the laptop display within about 5-10 minutes of powering up the system, it shuts down the laptop and puts it in hibernation mode even though the power setting on the Lenovo are specifically set to NOT do that while it is connected to a power source. Doesn’t seem to do this after I have been running the laptop for a while. This did not happen with my other USB extenders so I am not sure if there is a firmware issue on the Acer USB C Hub, 7 in 1 USB C to HDMI Splitter unit which causes this behavior.

I have an Asus Zenbook that’s at least 7 years old (ancient by technology standards) and it has a very problematic USB hub. I love my laptop. It functions well except for the hub. I usually get OEM peripherals for my electronics. (I use PC and Android. I’m not a Mac/Apple user.)
In the case of the USB hub for my Zenbook the Asus replacement hub is garbage with a 1 star review on Asus website with warnings not to buy because of how fast it stops working. The Asus hub I purchased 3 months ago stopped working after using it 3 or 4 times. That’s unacceptable in my opinion. I have tried other brands including Belkin, Anker and 2 others that I do not remember. None of them would deliver power to my laptop despite claiming they would. So I decided to try this hub. I need an external hub for the multiple USB ports because the Asus has no ports on the Zenbook itself, and power delivery (in a perfect world when everything works properly) should also be able to go thru the hub to charge the laptop. On my laptop, there’s only one USB-C port to connect either direct power supply or a hub. You can’t have both connected at the same time unless the hub allows power transfer to laptop, which the other brand hubs that I tried wouldn’t support that power transfer, much to my frustration. This hub is the first hub that I’ve tried that will actually power my laptop. (I also switched my power supply cable to a Thunderbolt, so the combination of the new cable with this hub works.)
I use a wireless mouse with a dongle that needs to be plugged in. I have a digital voice recorder that plugs in directly via USB-A to transfer files to the laptop. I use SD cards in my camera and MP3 player that I need a hub to transfer that media onto the laptop. This hub will allow all of that. Every port works that I have tried on this Acer hub and this hub does the thing that the other hubs failed to do on my laptop. The power transfer was the big issue for me and this Acer hub solved the problem that several others including the OEM, Asus, failed to do. Because of how many months I have been dealing with the power supply problem, hubs not delivering what they promised and this being the only hub that did work, I rate this product at 5 stars. It’s less expensive than the Asus hub that stops working immediately after purchasing. It has more ports than the Asus hub with the extra SD card reader that the Asus hub doesn’t have. It’s a heavier duty outer shell compared to the Asus. The cord is thicker and better protected compared to the Asus, so it reduces the chance for stressing or bending the cord in a way that could break the wires inside or break the connector away from the wires. It’s just a better design overall, when compared to the Asus hub. I am extremely satisfied with this Acer hub and I would recommend it since it did the “impossible” task that no other brand could do for me. 5 stars, indeed.

    A 7-in-1 USB-C hub from Acer.

The design is sleek, with a short black USB-C cable and a black aluminium body featuring a subtle Acer logo. There’s a single blue LED indicating that the device is connected. As far as expansion dongles go, this looks great and isn’t distracting on your desk.

From a single USB-C connection you get an HDMI output, SD and microSD card slots, a USB-C port, two USB-A ports and a USB-C power input rated for up to 100W charging. All seem functional and work well.

If you have a 4K screen, note that the HDMI output is only capable of 30Hz. I have been primarily using this adapter with a 3440 x 1440 ultrawide monitor and at this resolution the output manages 60Hz. This is fine for regular office work, although too limited for gaming.

I tested the hub’s power passthrough on multiple devices including a MacBook, Windows laptop and Android phone. It charges all of these devices comfortably although I have still never seen the device hit the full 100W charging speed. The maximum that I have observed is about 70W.

Weirdly, when using my Dell laptop, if I connect the standard USB-C charge to the Acer hub this causes the computer to complain about slow charging speeds. However, a standard USB-C cable combined with a high power wall charger works just fine. Probably some strange Dell issue rather than this charger but worth noting.

    Overall though, definitely recommended.
