4K 27” model… With a lot of new monitor tech on the horizon, this is one of the better high-end-like displays I was able to find for the price. If money is tight, you can likely do better with something in the $400 range, but if you’re spending out of pocket and ok with the risk of some apparent occasional manufacture defects this panel punches nicely above its weight class and should be classed with $800-1200 screens.
With that in mind there are some corners cut here for the price. Configurations for HDR and color need some massive tweaking out of the box. The type c port isn’t thunderbolt, but it does carry plenty of charging power for most laptops and DP signal fine – along with an okay USB hub (I’ve had some power complaints from different computers for different layouts but it’s been reliable enough for a home desktop). It also has basic sync and works okay for basic gaming without smearing all over the screen. If you want to competitive FPS, you’d be better off with a 1-2k monitor instead.
I use it mostly for code, terminal, and a bit of media making. For all of this, it has been excellent. It works with my Mac, a windows gaming laptop, and various Linux boxes. HDR was super washed out at first but some tweaking in the OSD fixed this. It is honestly the first 4K monitor I’ve been pretty happy with. I was going to go with a dell, but they were sold out. The MacBook display spoiled me, and since I haven’t been gaming any more I wanted some extra pixel density. This should hold me over a couple years until new HDMI and TB standards become more common, I hope.

This is only my second monitor. As a graphic design student, I needed something color accurate and professional, but as a casual gamer, I also wanted that refresh rate. The monitor may have some ghosting issues, but it is definitely an upgrade if you are looking for something to edit video or do graphic design without losing gaming capabilities. For the price, I don-t think you will find something as good as this one.

Great color. The 3-sided hood/shield is also a very nice extra feature.

The monitor is not working properly (there is a dark streak on the right side). It’s still under warranty. I contacted them a week ago about it, and I’ve been assured every day that someone from the “higher department” (their words) will contact me about replacing or repairing the monitor. The people I’ve spoken with said “you’re just going to have to wait.” I’ve already waited a week.

I’m kinda bummed that there are no reviews for this monitor, and it didn’t make a splash online in release but this is a fantastic option despite my returning it
The monitor has a great clear picture, vibrant and accurate colors and for gaming it was responsive and g-sync compatibility was seem less. I got it to do some editing and color grading work on and if you get a good sample this is all around great option.
However I ended up ordering three monitors and returning all of them. The QA just wasn’t there. All of the monitors had one or more dead/struck pixel and varying degrees of IPS Glow which I expected. The first two had ignorable dead pixels near center of vision and the last had bad IPS Glow and blacklight bleed along the top edge that was noticeable during any dark images. The thing that made me return it was the backlight uniformity was poor, all along the bottom edge the screen was 10-20% brighter than the middle or top which while not a disaster if the goal is to do color accurate work kinda defeats the purpose.
It’s a shame because the feature set is great, the osd is excellent especially with ability to switch color space on the fly. If only the quality assurance matched the impressive features. I’m aware it’s likely not a Acer issue but a combination of panel and high refresh rate ( LGs nano IPS gaming panels have notorious blb and ips flow for example). If you get lucky or can tolerate a dead or stuck pixel you can have it all with this monitor. Uniformity was a issue across all three (again at the bottom) but three panels is not a large sample. If you want something to game and work on try your luck.

This is a stunning display. Build quality is solid, the included hood and cables are great and calibration shows that the numbers deliver. Great price point.
