I picked up some scuffs on the hood of our metallic grey A6 that were really obvious. I was reluctant to risk buffing them out, due to the high visibility of them being on the hood, and my lack of experience using any sort of a powered buffer. I thought I’d try this, and if it didn’t work, or made it worse I’d bring the car in to a detailer.
I started cautiously with just the secondary, fine polish, and didn’t see the result I needed. Soooo…I went for it, using the step one product as directed, all by hand, using the included, color coded sponges. The scuffs disappeared, but the shine was lost.
When I used the second, final product that comes in the kit, I was amazed. Not only did the shine come back, without the scuffs, but that area of the car looked far better than the rest of the surrounding finish. I actually had to wax up the entire hood after using it, to make the unscuffed finish reach the same gloss level.
In summary, a product that is easy to use, and does what it’s supposed to. Be sure that your finish is perfectly clean before you start; you don’t want any residual dust or grit interfering with the work you are doing.

Paste is fine, applicator is trash. You need a power orbital buffer for this kind of work, period. I get the same results with any swirl remover from the local auto store. More expensive products like Adams, Grios, etc do not seem to be any different or better than the cheapest stuff you can find.

I have a dark colored car and I tried it to remove ONE faint and thin scratch to the clear coat layer but it did not work. No improvement to the area whatsoever. So I did not bother to use it on a pair of light but more visible scratches on my car. Perhaps this product is meant for use with a pro-grade polisher, but this certainly did not work using the hand sponge that came with this kit. .

Although it arrived with a broken cap, the stuff actually works, unlike all those other “scratch removers” you see advertised. I had a lot tiny scratches on the black tank of my motorcycle. Basically, with no effort the scratches were gone. You will need to rewax, and for that I used Adam’s Butter Wax. I’ve used a number of their products, and like the others, this one delivers.

Adam’s products are always great. I used this product to remove a ceramic coating that was poorly applied that had high spots and overall just looked terrible. I wasn’t sure if it would work without using a machine polisher but I thought I would give this a try as I did not want to deal with a machine. This product worked great to remove the ceramic coating (which was also an Adams product). As a bonus it also smells great.
