I bought the yellow 2016 replica, and it’s served us quite well for twilight pick-up: great visibility, good shape, holds air, doesn’t absorb water. Unfortunately, it’s also has that slick “plastic-ky” feel. Having played with the 2017 as well, I’d highly recommend spending the extra few dollars on that because it has a much softer touch.
I’d rate the 2016 replica 3 stars, but I’m giving a 4th in recognition that the 2017 is considerably better. There are some new micro-textured balls in this price range that I’d rate 5 stars / suitable as “game” balls, so you might want to keep shopping if you’re not specifically interested in the replica design.
P.S. If you’re shopping for a soccer ball and you don’t have a pump, stop writing negative reviews and buy a darn pump. All soccer balls need to be re-inflated from time to time. You’re welcome.

I bought two of these balls in size 3. My son loved the first one (silver) so much that I knew I had to buy the gold and blue (his favorite colors) when it came back in stock. My son plays soccer constantly, both indoor and outdoor. So far, this ball has held up very well. It is not fully inflated when it is shipped, which was no problem for us since we have a few pumps. I used a handheld pump, and I was able to fully inflate in seconds and without much effort. The ball seems durable, and we haven’t had any problem with it deflating. It is a great choice and should last quite some time.

This fall soccer season my 7 year olds team upgraded to a size 4 ball. We were in the market for something reasonably priced that would last. The ball came inflated with air and has withstood the ever changing New England weather of a 40 degree night followed by an 85 degree day and the ball has not deflated. The last ball we had was a cheaper brand and we had to fill with air practically weekly before games. My son has used this Adidas ball for about a month at practice, games and just playing around the yard and it still is in perfect condition. Another perk is the bright color- easy to find and not be confused with others balls who went out and bought whatever ball was on sale at Walmart or Target!
