AINOPE 1.5FT USB 3.0 Extension Cable

Actually I’ve come to appreciate the tactile nature of these nylon braided cables, it feels “nice”, also it feels robust. I’m using it to go from the rear ports on my PC to allow me to attach various dongles required for my bike training setup in the shed.

It just works really well, Great if like me, you want your PC out of the way, but need to swap dongles on the fly, and your front panel USB ports are full

Over the years, I have bought a few things from Ainope. I have learned to trust them. They make good, quality products.

From other vendors, I might be concerned that a 10 foot USB extension might not work well, but I bought the one from Ainope with confidence. I would say that it works well both for charging and for data transfers, and its generous length is handy when a manufacturer figures a tiny cable is good enough (it often isn’t).

I can tell that this cable is made to last. A long extension cable will live the life of being stepped on or dragged around corners. This cable is designed to withstand this. It is good value for the money.

This is a great cable. I purchased it, because I use my laptop as a desktop PC when I am at home. I have a 42″ LG C3 television which I use as a monitor. So I used to keep my laptop under my desk, but all too often, the display will revert back to the laptop display, which means I have to go back into the settings, and click on “use only screen 2” again, in order to send signal back through my HDMI cable and to my display, and in order to do this, when my laptop was under my desk, I would have to get down on my hands and knees to get the display right again. Anyway, so that became really irritating, and so what I did was, I just took my laptop, and began placing it on a 3 tier rack/shelf that I have sitting to the right of my desk. This enables me to access the laptop anytime, and directly from a seated position in my office chair. (In other words… I do not have to get my lazy a** up) However, in order to do this, required me to change the HDMI cable I was using, from a 6ft one, to one that is 10ft in length. Additionally, I realized that I needed a longer cable for my USB 3.0 hub. But finding such a cable seemed impossible. So I went the next best route, and I purchased this USB 3.0 extension cord. One would certainly think that cords like these are a dime a dozen, but that is definitely a common misconception. USB cables – USB 3.0 through 3.2 cables more specifically – are much like HDMI cables, in that, you get what you pay for. This doesn’t mean that you cannot find affordable options, it just means that you have to at least do the due diligence to read up on a product you may be thinking about purchasing, and check out some reviews first. In the case of an HDMI cable, there is a certification process which all decent cables undergo, in order to prove that they are up to snuff. If a cable claims to be HDMI 2.1 compatible, but does not include a legitimate HDMI 2.1 certification, I can all but guarantee you that cable is NOT going to perform up to the specs which that manufacturer is claiming. It only makes sense that if it would, they would have them certified, right? Right! So when you think you are saving a few bucks buying one that does not include an official certification, don’t be upset when you get it hooked up only to find that you are experiencing black outs and signal losses galore! If you want a cable that functions as it should, buy CERTIFIED! However, cables like this USB do not have such a handy-dandy certification process which they can undergo in order to become certified as a quality, functional product. So you just have to read up on what you are considering, and then at some point, pick one, and roll with it, and hope that it functions as the manufacturer advertised.

This cable, I am pleased to report, functions beautifully, and exactly as it should. Some of these USB 3.0 cables here on Amazon are perfectly good for charging devices, but when it comes time to move some data, they will fall short time and time again. They just will not have the amount of bandwidth necessary to move 5 gbps of data as USB 3.0 spec devices are supposed to be able to do. NOT SO in the case of this cable! This cable works fine across the board! I’m using it to keep an11 port USB 3.0 hub connected to my laptop, and it has performed wonderfully thus far. Obviously, a USB 3.0 hub cannot supply 5gbps speeds to each of it’s ports. It can only provide that spec for the one port it is connected to, and the hub will contain the proper switching chip to ensure that it divides up the proper speeds per port based upon what each device plugged into the hub is requiring at any given time. Since I have been using this 10ft extension, I have not noticed a bit of decrease in the speed of my devices plugged into my USB 3.0 hub. And when I am transferring data, it still functions just as well as it did before, only now I am able to have my laptop a distance away from the hub (which is fastened to my desk), parked in it’s new, more accessible location. I can absolutely recommend this item to anyone looking for a USB 3.0 extension cord that will transfer data with the right speed, rather than just being expected to charge devices. If you need a longer cord, and want to maintain your data transfer speeds, then just purchase this cable and don’t worry about it, because it will have you covered!

I like the length and durability

Purchased this to extend my docking station cable. Im running dual monitors and a few other USB devices through this with no issues..
