Okay I was way happier then I figured I would be with this tank, I had no idea that it came with a heater, water conditioner AND a net, along with a filter and fish food! Perfect for a beginner or if you’re just obsessed with bettas like I am. Love love this tank and filter

Nice little tank, but for bettas it needs a couple of tweaks. First, the LED lights are extremely bright. I put a bit of electrical tape over some of the lights to reduce the glare. Second, the heater is pure junk. It cannot be adjusted. It’s supposed to heat to 78 degrees but after 2 days my water has stayed at 75 which isn’t warm enough for a betta. If you need warmer than 75 degrees I suggest you buy a real heater (one that’s adjustable , I chose a 100W heater with external adjustment and LED temp readout)..
I like the fact that you can snap off a portion of the hood at the back to allow space for the filter, and (first time I’ve seen this) you can also snap the piece back in later on, so keep the piece of hood for later. Some people have complained about the amount of caulk in the tank, but in my years of experience 10 gal tanks can be prone to leaking after a couple of years, so I was happy to see lots of caulk. They use clear caulk anyway and it doesn’t detract from the appearance of the aquarium. Overall I will definitely buy one of these aquariums again when I add to my betta collection.

This aquarium arrived in shards. There was zero cushioning inside the aquarium. All accessories were inside the open aquarium with nothing on top or inside to secure them or the glass. The outside box was POORLY insulated.. ie a few pieces of thick brown paper. Not enough to protect the glass as it is thrown around in transport. Further, there was NO “fragile” or “breakable” signs at all on the box. This aquarium was doomed to arrive in shards from the moment of packaging or lack there of. Don’t waste your time. You’ll just have to return it.

I got to try this Aqueon Fish Aquarium Starter Kit with LED, 10 gallon. Beautiful tank with thoughtful extras included like a fishnet, small bottle of water conditioner and a sample of fish food. The LED light gives it a great professional zoo display look. The hood is low profile so you could use in a shelving type situation. And the lid does keep the cats out, we have two indoor cats and they have tested it. Has a nice flip up hatch in the lid for easy feeding. This kit comes with the water filter and a suction cup heater. Does not have gravel or decorations. Very complete and makes the perfect starter kit.

It’s a pretty good tank. Rn my setup is looking crazy I promise I’m going to fix it. The only problem is that after a couple weeks the lights stopped working. It’s probably bc a lot of water collects on the hood so if you get it expect to buy a new light but otherwise it’s perfect

I’ve had this for 2months and it’s great. I have 3 zebra danio and 3 dumbo guppies. All so started growing java fern. All is well. The only thing that would make this tank better is bigger openings on the back of the hood for the heater and airlines. Other then that it’s great. Plan on buying the same brand for a 20gal. As I have a 10gal now.
