My husband and I have tried other things like treats, playing with the cat to tire them out before nail trimming and grooming hammock. None worked. This one enabled us to trim all out cat’s nails without the fear of the cat nipping us. Truly something that you need to try if you have a hard time trimming your cat’s nails. Make sure you are getting the right size for your cat.

Looks absolutely ridiculous – my cat was doing the moonwalk when I put the silicone booties on…but WOW, will it make grooming easier!!!! We have a Ragamuffin cat, and sometimes he gets terrible mattes in his hair and we need to cut it. It has been an AWFUL and SUPER LONG (like, over the course of several days) process trying to groom him before. But with this head-gear and cool footwear, I was able to get it done in 20min, without any issues.
I will also be using it for nail trimming, which he equally despises.

This worked to keep me from getting bitten, but the booties kept coming off no matter how tight you put them. This caused my cat to try to slap the helmet off and get her claws stuck in the breathing holes and panic, leading to injuries to her nails.

Really easy to get the helmet on, at least the first time. Not really sure how easy it’s going to be next time, but it worked at least once. I was finally able to do my cat’s nails, who I’ve been having to take to the vet for years. And last time they told me that he was going to have to be put under if they couldn’t figure out how to calm him down to do his nails. I really only needed one of the feet covers, but I did have someone to help me hold him down. If I didn’t have that, having all four definitely would have been nice. I only used one on one of his front paws while I did the other. Because he was being held down by someone, he couldn’t really get me with the back paws. Took me a second to get it on, but that really was just because my cat was kind of flailing. Considering it cost $40 last time to get his nails done because of the trauma he caused the vets, this product already paid for itself. And if whatever reason I cannot get him to let me put it on him again, I can at least bring it with me to the vet, so that they might be able to use it. Definitely worth it for cats who don’t like their nails being trimmed.

This product I’d amazing. We have been trying to trim our office cats claws for a while now. She has been fighting the procedure. She hisses,yowls,claws and tries to bite. My husband caught her up in a blanket and I put the plastic hood on her. She immediately calmed down. It was amazing. We were able to trim all her nails with no fuss what’s so ever.

Do you have a spicy cat in your life that likes to use his murder mittens for evil? Does the cat that you adore bite you every time you try to clip its nails or give it a bath? Look no further, because cosmonaut kitty is here to help you with all your woes. This little astronaut/hamster ball headpiece will help your grooming sessions be mostly painless, at least for you. I trained my kitty with treats so he thought he got used to the hamster ball and now after three grooming sessions, he doesn’t try to fight it. I have used the silicone claw disarmers and they are easy enough to get on but my cat doesn’t like them. I felt that the ball fit well on my rather large tabby and is easily adjustable and doesn’t have any choke or pinch points. You will not regret protecting yourself and you will have so much fun laughing at your little Cosmo kitty.
