This is a very good set of Bongos at this price point. I got this so I can play along with my favorite salsa, jazz music. I was pleasantly surprised of how nice these where. Very cool looking and have a great finish on the wood and metal. They sound great and they included the a bag and tuning too. All in all a great package for any level of percussionist.

The drum skin is tight, the wood outer looks well made, the outside finish is nicely done. I played the bongos for a bit, they are on the quieter side, but sound ok. I’m new to bongos so before trying to tune anything I want to get some more practice in. As a bongo player that lives life on the go, the carrying case with arm strap is appreciated. Overall, a nicely made beginner bongo set.

When purchasing the drum set, I was given a choice of new or slightly used with a discount. I chose new and placed my order. The drums that arrived had definitely been used. They were filthy, dirty, and scratched. This product wouldn’t even qualify as slightly used. Probably would’ve been happy if I received the new drum set. Wouldn’t be surprised if this happens often. Nice try, didn’t work this time.
Will –
This is a nicely crafted 6 in and 7 in bongos.
The finish is smooth and I found no splinters or anything warped on them.
They sound really nice after you get them tuned up with the tuning wrench that comes with them. The heads/skins are good quality, so don’t be timid about tightening them up when tuning, there made to stretch to get the right tone that you are looking for. But it’s always best to just start off hand tightening first and then do a quarter turn all the way around the bongo meeting turn each lug a quarter turn until you get the tone that you’re looking for. Again the skins/heads are made to stretch I mean certainly you don’t want to over stretch them but if you just keep it the quarter turn with the wrench you’re going to be just fine and I would do that on your your high and your low drum.
I was actually surprised at how well they tuned up and staying in tune as well.
I like these bongos I like the look and finish off the them, the sound is really good and they stay in tune longer than some of the more expensive ones I have played in the past.
I would definitely recommend them for a beginner but honestly also for any stage of playing you might be even a pro for that matter.
It’s a nice set they’ve got good tone they stay in tune for a good length of time and you also get a gig bag with them which is also nice that way if you’re taking him out to play somewhere else let’s chances that I’m getting nicked and scratched or something spilled on them with the gig bag. Overall I really do like this set bongo drums and again I would I would recommend them especially if you’re a beginner really good set to learn on.

I was a little worried about the fit and finish on “value” bongos like these, but I’m pretty darn happy with this find.
They sound good, and they feel really high quality. The finish on them is nice and consistent, so it doesn’t look cheap at all. They’re a great price point for entry bongos that don’t make you feel like you’re playing a “beginner” instrument.
