It seems like good quality, but the knob functions are not intuitive. And the manual is utterly useless, written by a machine at best and not covering the things you need.
Here’s what your future self will want to know: There’s a toggle knob on the handle with roman numerals on it. I means “8 lbs Pressure.” II means “15lbs Pressure.”

The emergency steam release doesn’t require a piece you might think is missing. It’ll pop up from the inside.
Has a handy button to push to release steam manually, which means you don’t have to wait for cooling to remove the lid. Nice feature.
Other than that, it works smoothly and as expected. It seems like an appropriate weight, so I assume heat distribution is good–I noticed no issues with the chicken broth I cooked.

I legit bought this for 1 Afghan dish I make – food doesn’t stick, sturdy, a little difficult to put the handle together cause it was missing a couple screws but I had a couple in my junk drawer. Def recommend!

I have never used a pressure cooker, but our old one was wearing out. Not husband loves it to make meat softer for soups, stews, etc. He’s a much better cook than I am!

It saddens me to return this because I really need it. The handle/lid locking device is not designed in a way to ensure the pressure cooker is locked and safe to use. It’s very hard to lock and the possibility of using it without locking it is very dangerous.

The 80 kPa to 11psi conversion on the conversion table means this is an 11-pound weight. So, if you are less than 1000 feet in elevation, this will be able to do canned beans in pint sizes. I suggest you put down a small dishcloth at the bottom of the canner so you don’t break the jar.
