My ecoboost ford engine was setting injection codes and running rough for 6 months. Ford kept resetting the code and saying they couldnβt find the problem because they didnβt want to fix it under warranty. When I was a BMW mechanics back in the 80s we used this for carbon deposits build up on the intake valves from poor quality U.S. gas. I donβt even know it was still available but after using several over the counter fuel injection cleaners with no success I searched for it on Amazon and found it. I full tank of gas (36gallons) and one can of 44K and within 50 miles I felt an improvement in performance and the rough idle went away. I reset the code in September of 23 and it has not come back and the truck is running like new. Yes itβs expensive compared to some but itβs worth it.

Iβve used this product several times and each time Iβve used it, it has remedied the problem. 44K Platinum, on this purchase, fixed a sticking fuel gauge.
Also great for cleaning out injectors and other fuel system components.
Itβs expensive. But, like I said Ive used it several times because I know how well it works.
You will not get good gas mileage during the tank while itβs cleaning everything out. Afterwards, you may get better (or average) mileage. Iβve never received a code related to this treatment during or after usage.
This is a great product and I highly recommend it, even given the cost, it is worth it rather than to manually do what this does.

Since the late 90s/ early 2000s, I have sold and used, personally, BG products. As far as pour in the gas tank with a tank of quality gas, it is the best.
IMO Shell 89 octane, or 93 if you want or if your car calls for premium, either way this works thru the tank of gas progressively erroding away the carbon deposits on fuel injectors (multi-port, GDI, ect..) also by nature cleans valves, pistons and combustion chambers as a whole. I use this every other month to every few months, depending upon how much the car is driven.
Also consider todays emmissions control systems being more extensive, the commonality of turbocharged vehicles and GDI all being prone to carbon loading at the injectors and combustion chambers. Factors like these also contribute to carbon fouling.
Next, skip penny pinching on the gas. In my area a “certain company’s lab” has found greater than 20% ethanol in the fuel (when the sticker on the pump states “no more than 10% ethanol, even at what we used to consider “good brands”- granted, some of this is under ground tank maintenance at the station and individual factors like manufa turing variances, transport tank conditions and so forth). Contaminated fuel and/or too much ethanol contributes to a host of problems like lean conditions, hotter than normal combustion temps and even pre-ignition/spark knock). Avoid cheap gas!
This is more of a maintanence product, but will clean up the majority of the fuel system on its own to a noticeable extent, depending upon internal conditions of your engine and how long its been let go.
Depending upon vehicle, you may consider a qualified mechanic to do a fuel rail service and or induction service with the 3 can kit specifically for induction/intake service or the appropriate product to use for direct fuel rail service, a quality mechanic will guide you.
All of their products are pro-grade, not shelf quality from a discount auto parts supplier.
Remeber, this used to not be sold outside of professional shops. It IS the best and long has been.

I have a Suzuki bandit 1250 I let sit too long without any fuel treatment in it. The bike was idling rough and stumbling on the lower end. I put the BG 44 in the tank and rode it about 50 miles. Itβs running considerably better just a very mild stumble Every now and then. Iβll put the remaining fluid in on the next fill up. Other reviews have indicated it may take two tanks for maximum cleaning.

This stuff keeps my ducati running in tip top shape . Hands down can totally tell a difference using it or not . 11 Oz treats 20 gal of gas . Ducati are known for their low end hesitations and using this stuff has helped smooth the range out . Not cheap, But very Effective .

I have used their BG 245 diesel cleaner before and I could feel the difference in the responsiveness on my insignia diesel within 30 min it was quite a dramatic difference you could feel it responding quicker, pulling more and you could hear a improvement in the sound of the exhaust, So when I recently bought a second hand petrol sports car one of the first things I did was to order some BG 44k Platinum (along with servicing it) and all tho the results were not as immediately noticeable as the diesel cleaner was for me (I think the insignia really needed it) It did feel and sound much smoother after getting through half a tank of it.
I would highly recommend using this if you fail a MOT due to high emissions or before an MOT if your emissions were high on your previous MOT.
The instructions say to mix this with a full tank of petrol but I found better results when using with slightly over half a tank (I don’t know if this is risky or not.. but it has worked well for me on both petrol and diesel variants).
Make sure you have a funnel ready because you will need one unless you want to start cutting bottles in half.
I would advise using rubber/latex gloves when using this as it has a tenancy to splash when opening and if you read the health warnings on the back you will know you don’t want to get this anywhere on you!, Loosen the ring pull first with a flat head screwdriver or swiss army knife as it is gripped down with metal spots, And I know this sounds extra but I would recommend using safety glasses, god knows what this stuff would do to your eyes! honestly its strong and very hazardous I feel bad for the cars behind me..
