This works as described (great). We use this in our master bedroom which is a larger size. The area for this AC unit is 350 and it ‘s fit for the bedroom size. I like how out of the box this is setup ready with foam insulation for the slider window insert. Not hard to setup, followed the instructions on use etc etc. I bought 2 units and the other one has solid reviews too on Amazon it’s a competitor, but it doesn’t come with the insulation. Pretty much this is just for summer months then storage. This is a good unit to purchase. Noise level inside is like an AC unit. Outside it’s noticeable on our patio deck. I actually haven’t used the remote other than to test it. I don’t know yet about the efficiency either, but on a 95 degree day it does a good job in the room. Test coming up today and through Saturday supposed to get hot.

This is the first portable A/C unit we’ve ever had, so it took a hot minute to get installation right. The hardest part was figuring out how to properly twist the tube pieces together so that it would stop falling apart. Once we got that figured out, it was pretty secure and set up was easy. We placed the foam in the panel instead of the window so we wouldn’t have to add foam to each window we wanted to use it on. There are videos of this on YouTube and I recommend going to check those out.
We have been using it almost every day and night now for a month and it is still working great.
I swear there was a weird smell the first two nights, but that went away.
I absolutely hate the bright blue light that is always on (especially at night), but we have just placed something over that part and isn’t an issue. Since we rarely change the settings (always at 68 and low), then it is easy to turn it on and off without having to look at the screen.
Sleep mode is interesting. It will slowly increase the temperature by one or two degrees (can’t remember what the guide book says) over a 6 hr period and then it will shut off. I dont have a problem with it increasing the temperature, its just too bad it shuts off after 6hrs. Solution for us was just leaving it on low all the time.
It is loud. As a light sleeper, I now wear ear plugs at night. Im fine with it since its nice and cool.
Design and look are sleek and easy to clean.
Remote control works great too. The farthest Ive been from the unit is about 10ft and it works just fine.
We were looking at other, potentially more fancy (more options), but glad we went with this one. Bottom line, we needed a unit to cool our space and not leak everywhere. This has been meeting those needs. Cools very quickly and haven’t had an leakage. Tried out all the extra stuff at the beginning, but wasn’t necessary for us.

Oregon, Summer 2021. Heat wave was coming, ordered and received in three days. Kept one room of my home cool in 115 degree outdoor weather. Glad to have had a refuge. I think I’ll get another unit for the living room for next year. Not expensive to run. A bit noisy, but worth it. Easy setup with included kit. No extras needed. Just a screwdriver.

Pros –
1. Cools our 500 sq feet room quickly and efficiently!
2. The time mode helps us sleep peacefully without having to worry about waking up and switching off the AC.
3. Nice and sleak design.
Cons –
1. When you install, the window pieces need to be joined together if the height of the window is long. Only one screw is provided when we definitely needed two-three. Because of the awkward shape we had to make screws out of a cardboard piece. Voila, it worked! We just think that for 400 dollars they would atleast provide the needed equipment.

I am not sure of the noise levels of other portable ACs, therefore my review might be biased. According to us, it is loud but it becomes white noise and not a problem for us. The sleep mode is better!

Real world use for a home office:
Follow-Me Feature:
After one week of use I couldn’t stop noticing that the room would get extremely cold before the unit shuts off. e.g., it would remain on full blast A/C even after the room was cooled off. So I bought a high quality thermostat for the room where the AC is located to try to get a better picture.
It turns out the Follow-Me feature does not really work, it’s more of a gimmick. As per their manual, the remote control sends the unit a status update every 20 minutes based on the room temperature. However, the thermostat in the remote is pretty inaccurate. This results in a room that is 78.6 degrees and the unit will not start even though it is set to 74 degrees. Adversely, once the unit kicks on, it will remain on until it gets an update from the remote that the room has reached the desired temperature. This results in a room that will be 68 degrees cold while the temperature is set to 74 degrees. It may not sound like much but for a small office room this is the difference between sweater or not because the air is constantly blowing on you.
Internal thermometer:
After the failed attempts at the Follow-Me feature, I decided to stop using it and use the internal thermostat in hopes for better results. The internal thermostat should get more frequent updates and maintain the room temperature, this part is true. However, the room temperature will vary greatly based on the location of the unit. For example, if the unit is next to a window(which is required for the unit to run) the unit will detect hotter temperatures because of the sunlight hitting the unit. On the other side of the room where I sit there is no sunlight. So where the unit sits it will be a steady 80-90 degrees and where I sit it will be 50-60 degrees. The result is a room that is incredibly cold and a unit that kicks on every minute or so.
I live in a location where 95+ degree temperature is not unheard of. In fact, during the summer the temperature will reach 100+ with a 100% humidity. This AC was supposed to help me keep the office cold during the pandemic months while I work for 16 hours a day. However, it has become more of a hassle than anything else to have to keep messing with the unit to get a somewhat right temperature. I find myself reaching over for the remote every 20 minutes to change the temperature again. This causes a big waste of time. I can see a better use for this unit if you have a window with no direct sunlight and the room is not affected by the constant cooling. For an office setting it is impractical and the advertised features do not work as intended. Overall, I wish I had returned the unit before the 30 day return window had expired.
